wow only just caught up with this one ! I would like to thank the swans fans for their polite and civil behaviour ! It to a degree sets the standard for the rest of our anticipated guests in the seasons MT's! Unlucky swansea ,but it was always going to be a tough ask! I wouldnt be to despondent!
I do worry bout Swansea. I hope they don't go the way of West Brom in their first season. Plenty of pretty football with absolutely no end product. It's certainly a possibility knowing how Brendan likes his teams to play. That said they've just come up against a team who'll almost certainly occupy one of the top two spots in the Prem. As for Danny, it's always going to be tough as a lone striker in a defensive line up, he'll get plenty more chances to shine.
And to think, Graham could have warmed the bench for Chelsea reserve reserves. He must be kicking himself.
It was obvious to all beforehand that Danny's contribution to the game last night would be extremely limited. So no-one can pass judgement on him purely down to this game. He will get his fair share of chances throughout the season (especially at home in most games , and also away to QPR!)
Yesterday was a learning experience for Swansea - they wont have many harder fixtures this year - will stop them getting complacent and thinking they will walk the league though
Agreed Leo, serves as a reality hit ,back to earth with a bump! Think they will be ok though! Dannys goals will keep them up!
