Very different styles though. Graham will do far more donkey work like Helguson does but better and offers more going forward. If anything I think Graham's style would suit Taarabt even more and Graham's temperament is far less questionable than young Adel's.
See the picture's on the wall there Northolt (you can always tell when the guv's keen on something!).
Yes but Hulse has scored twice whereas Graham has scored 20 or so. Given our reasonably modest budget what better striker could we realistically buy than one of, it not the, top scorer in the second tier who is, at 25, approaching his peak?

Graham was the Championship’s leading scorer this season with 24 goals in the league and 27 in all competitions. And it is reported QPR boss Neil Warnock has made Graham his first target of the summer following Rangers’ promotion to the Premier League. Graham joined Watford from Carlisle United in the summer of 2009 in a deal which has so far cost the Hornets ã350,000 and could rise to ã550,000 if Malky Mackay’s are promoted next season.
Good deal for Watford imo. They bought him for only ã200k a couple of years ago. Boy doesn't need to up sticks and move to play in the Prem, everyones a winner
2.5 is the right price. he's scored 25 odd goals for this season only, different if he had scored 25 goals every season for the last 2 seasons. id have him at rangers anyday though.
Graham would be a great signing. How long have we waited for a striker with a proven goal-scoring record.
I agree , right sort of signing for us , could def see Heidar go in the opposite direction. Also like the fact we are moving early for players and not hanging around . Also like the fact that the board is giving Warnock money to spend, says to me that he will be the man in charge next season , which is great for us and our club.
I thought Newcastle were interested in the geordie boy, and ã5mil was being muted... ã2.5 does seem a snip, but as someone above points out, if this is where is buy out clause kicks in and no one else bids it might just happen. Personally i would of thought there are plenty of teams who would be prepared to pay more so i can't see it happening at that price. Maybe ã2.5 plus Heidar is a good a deal all round.
=========================== QPR launch raid for Watford's Graham Published 23:00 19/05/11 By Football Spy Recommend Danny Graham-Watford cropped QPR have had a ã2.5million bid for Watford top scorer Danny Graham rejected. Rangers boss Neil Warnock had lined up the 25-year-old, who hit 24 goals this season, as the club's first Premier League buy. However, the Hornets have slapped a ã4m price tag on former Middlesbrough star Graham, who is also wanted by Newcastle. Warnock could now turn his attentions to Cardiff's Jay Bothroyd as he looks to find a striker capable of scoring the goals to QPR in the top flight.
