Queing up to buy a pair of jeans in Zara yesterday and I notice the man infront of me with a pair of shoes In his hands, And realised it was Danny Collins.

I tell him I'm a sunderland fan, and we get talking at the counter. Asked him a few q's, I asked where he preferred s'land or Stoke, he says Sunderland.

Then I asked if he liked Steve bruce, he gave me a smile and said 'he made me captain to start of with and then told me he was bringing more defenders in so I wasn't needed.

Then I asked him a strange question, why did he think bent left? He said 'the club had a bid of 20million!' and I said yeah but he handed in a transfer request, he replied 'he had a thing going on with brucies daughter, and now he's actually with her'

I didn't want to bug him now more, as he was on holiday of course. I hope footballers don't read our forums because I wouldn't want him to no I've just come on here and said that really, like a reporter! Ha. But thought you guys would be interested anyway.
 
Yeah was a really good bloke. Took the time to speak, even though his girlfriend was giving him the look to hurry up! Lol
 
I thought he could've still done a decent job for us when he left. Mr Consistent. I really liked the guy! Although it's a shame he hasn't quite hit it off at Stoke.
 
when I am on duty at Goodison I often see Dannys mum and dad, they go to EFC quite alot..last time I got talking (back end of last season) they were saying that he wasnt settled at Stoke and hadnt been for a while. He always looks out for Sunderland according to his fatha

I told you all why Judas left a few months ago, as I was told this by a former well known player as well.

It was to do with Bruces daughter and her relationship with Judas which daddy didnt approve of? Why else was such a dramatic decision done and dusted with such great haste?
