Haven't seen this mentioned. He's back - we're that desperate for cover!

He's back as asst coach of the U18s. In most clubs that it is one rung up from cleaning the toilets, but clearly not so with us. He is one of the lads who got us here but then was left behind by our progress. Lovely to hear him so positive about the club, and great to have one of the promotion specials back on board.

Good luck, Danny

He was still player-coach at Exeter, right? So he technically hasn't retired.

They should sign him to a "player"-coach deal here. Just a symbolic one, so he can him retire as a Premier League player. Maybe even give him five minutes at the end of the next game. They should have done that when he was here. I'm still a bit sad that so many players who helped us get to PL never even got an appearance. We were fighting to stay up, so I get it but still.

"hey guys did you know I once scored a hat trick in 7 minutes?"

"whatever Danny"

Then you're not looking, ML. I mentioned it twice that he was on his way, and Fran mentioned yesterday. Tsk tsk. ;)

And that hat trick only happened because their starting right back turned down a transfer not long before. Guy by the name of Nathaniel Clyne, who'd then show up a couple years later to supplant Butterfield at right back again.

What I'm trying to suggest is that Clyne is going to take over as the assistant manager of the U18s any day now.

I remember posting about this weeks ago, not sure why it wasn't announced then?

First job Danny... get Cedric to cross like you. Austin would score 20+ if he could!!
