Has his leg fallen off yet?
Only on the inside. The bones and muscles may be jelly, but his skin keeps the leg from completely falling off.

Klopp has answered a lot of questions about transfers in the last few days and has been keen to stress that he feels totally relaxed about the Reds’ transfer negotiations.
In a press conference on Tuesday Klopp said:
“Not with only Phil, but it’s a good thing to talk about in the transfer window because the world thinks improving is only about bringing in new players.”
“Nobody thinks that the players we already have will make the next step, which is also a nice idea.”
“We use the transfer window, of course, because it gives us an opportunity, but the main thing I think about is how we can make the next step with the players we had last season.
“Nobody thinks about development of the players you already have. It’s all about signings. I’m fine so far.”
With over a month to go until the end of the transfer window Klopp still seems extremely relaxed and it remains to be seen whether Liverpool will continue to pursue top midfield target Keita with Leipzig standing firm.

I was convinced he'd go last summer. Same again in January and I've said the same yet again prior to the current window opening. However, I think we need to get him foot and player to not only get clubs interested but willing to pay something like what we want for him.
End of the day, he's not a bad player to have in the squad is he?
He is also an expert on naive option for a player not fit/able to play 38 league games so selling him on would be difficult.....a loan to West Ham?

Outsider looking in but Sturridge is a cracking player...when fit.
As with too many players these days though he is obviously not built (arguement about whether it is mentally or physically) to cope with playing football.
Unless there is an apocalypse in the near future he is never going to be your main man. Can remember from a while back (think the season after Suarez left) reading that Sturridge wouldn't play if he didn't feel 100% fit. With that type of attitude I'm surprised he's stil with you and that Klopp hasn't got rid of him although it may be the modern day combo of player's wages and happy to sit on bench attitude and player's expectations of who he should play for has meant it's not been possible to shift him on.
You could always try loaning him out to an exciting team back in the PL with, say, an ex Liverpool manager in charge. That might be a good solution and you could pay his wages in weeks he doesn't play and this exciting team back in the PL could pay his wages when he is fit.
