Sturridge would be an absolute quality signing, and the bargain of this century at 6 mill. Unfortunately i just cant see it happening for that little, loan maybe?
 
hope we get him at the Toon for the figures the papers are quoting.... bargain if you ask me.... surely he wants a step up from Bolton FFS...
 
would be agreat signing had a good loan spell at bolton.Didn't crown himself in glory in the u21's but still has alot of quality.

I couldn't find the original article from The Independent so we'll have to make do with this one. There's no way they'll accept £6m, I can only assume it's a "test the water" bid.

Stoke City have made a bid for Chelsea striker Danny Sturridge.

The Independent says Stoke have offered £6 million for the England U21 international.

Sturridge's uncle Simon, who scored 14 goals in 43 starts with Stoke in the mid-90s, could persuade the England under-21 striker his future lies in North Staffordshire.

Sturridge is also wanted by Bolton Wanderers and Newcastle United.

would take him now, I don't care he didn't perform for the U21s he's quality. Sign him Tony or at least TRY a loan deal.
 
Bolton would be Championship now had it not been for Sturridge. That's why they crumbled at Wembley against us, no fire power.
Tony if you read this I will personally drive you to where he lives if you sign him up!

Worth it IMHO anyway. LIkes said, he kept Bolton ticking along and they did miss him at Wembley.

agreed pottermouth mate. He is young and mobile and that's just what we need. Imagine Sturridge and Walters running at ya! Both know where the goal is!
 
Yes Yes Yes! - Regardless where we as individuals sit in relation to transfer slating, 10 million and 50K a week for a young bristish international is the best bit og business we could do this summer. All we need is pace upfront to stretch defences with quality finishing. Please, Please, Please TONE????????????????? Oh and a cheeky bid for Jenas, Kranjcar or Parker wouldnt go astray, so we can get the fuking ball to him!
 
Sgt - don't bloody well care, cos if he hits 15 - 20 goals for us next season, then thats a top 10 finish and the transfer fee is paid.

Don't for god's sake mention this to Jose or Pistol, Woodgate and co are the way forwarde
