He had a quiet game for me today but you can't run rings round the opposition every match. It would've been a be learning curve for him today. Hopefully we can hold on to him till we win the Premier League <cheers>

i think it will have to be some seriously silly money before the club will even think about parting with him.

very quiet today mind but usually just gets on with his job, never tries too hard to be 'the standout player', still a young lad with plenty to learn.

Aye it's a nice quiet confidence he's got about him. Wasn't his game today, he needs a bit more space to work his magic but not a bad performance given how well Wycombe played.

Very encouraging news Magnus. Thank you!

Pleased he's a local lad who seems to have his feet planted firmly on the ground. He was quiet today, but at his age you can't expect him to be outstanding all the time.

He's definitely the next best thing to come out of Sunderland, but unlike Pickford who left us when we were on the way down, Neil has the luxury of being with us as we rise through the leagues, so I expect to see him in a red and white shirt for a few years to come yet.

I'm very very pleased to hear this from the club and it's also very sensible from Dan himself. Young players can easily disappear off the radar by making a move at the wrong time. Clubs like City swallow up talent and think nothing of it eg the lad Roberts we are linked with.

under the right coach he could become a great player, but he's just not suited to l1 football. I'd let him go, but only for decent money.

So it begins. I'd like to think he'd want to stay but we know how it all works. The world "Conspiracy" was aimed my way when I said it was like he was being kept to be sold. In the past we never hang onto promising players, even in the prem, we just simply wave them off and never push on our selves.
