No problem with that. I’ve also got no problem with any senior players starting who have performed well this season full stop. It’s the wasters like Power and Dobson who he keeps on playing which is grinding my gears.
First things first...the lads have to prove themselves capable of 'making the step up' Now, my eyes may well be aged and the need for optical assistance has been vital for a few seasons now, but apart from a little 'youthful zest' shall we call it, not one of these lads has done anything wrong. In fact, usually we see the young lads being on the cautious side when given a chance, but this latest group have simply played like they belong in the side...first test passed with flying colours!! This has nothing to do with the fans just wanting to see them given a decent chance, the lads have DESERVED a decent chance...maybe long term they'll progress no further, but while the team is struggling with the inclusion of certain players, surely any manager would look to exploit ALL options?
The more I think about it I would actually prefer to see Parkys so called first team take the Barton Army than our promising U23's as it is not at all in the self interest of the manager, or some of his dressing room to see them succeed.
