Talking of Dan Harding made me think of our Championship year, so I had to go and look at one my favourite games...the opener against Leeds. That game had everything: Dean Hammond's big smile after the opener, Fonte's hair and the first sign that no ref would give a penalty against him :), and goals from Connolly (bless him) and Lallana (in his pre-twat days).

Dan off to a winning start. I found the Pompey thing unconvincing. If you read the whole piece he simply wants to play without the politicking. Maybe Pompey were one of the clubs that couldn't promise this.

When I think Dan Harding, Leeds and wins, I think of the one until win during our first league one campaign. Dan got the winner at home to Leeds, his old club.

Hey, I'm not the one who's concerned about whether a player says they can bring themselves to play with Southampton or not. Although out of interest, would your last sentence suggest you, to at least some extent, support what I'm saying?

To some extent possibly although you have to admit this is a saints Forum. Can you imagine what would be the reaction if things were reversed and on the Pompey Forum. Strewth look what happened when the authorities threatened to paint the tower Red!!
There has been too much bad blood between the players and the fans which is going to take a long time to heal. It should be no surprise when players past their prime choose not to become involved when they have no need to. Personally I would prefer it if the respect of yesterday year would return to both players and fans.
Sadly I fear that will never happen.
