I like the Gosden hotpot here but I think Stoute's PLASTIKI can nab a place at 28/1. Should be doing best work late and will be educated by LPB.

KF is hardly going to say

"She is a dog and needs something to get her to win a maiden before she goes off to the breeding barn"

Also doesn't she race prominently and hasn't she led before? Perhaps they have that swirling wind that makes front runners face kickback <laugh> never heard such rubbish, she might win tonight but its one of those races that is about getting the right position and getting a good ride. I actually wonder if the Cecil horse is one to watch for the future (staying handicaps perhaps)

RV did you "self-exclude" ?? I did and was looking to get back in to use their place market. Jesus, be easier to set up a Mosque outside the White House. Who else does good place market betting?

Balleya looks an e/w to nothing at 8s, interesting now dropped in trip and very much dropped in class at Sandown.

Nassau, hang your head in shame. ‘King’ Kieren would never say anything that wasn’t true.

Mega money for Whispered by the way in the past hour 6/1 into 7/2.

I do agree though that whichever filly wins will be packed off to the old breeding shed without much delay.

Thats typical, fails to get out properly and loses all chance because of that. That was another Baker/Dettori special.

Odddy I did indeed- and <laugh> I know mate tried to sign up a few weeks ago again they having none of it <rofl>

I only use Paddy Power now mate- not the best for prices but it is BOG I suppose and they are always good with things like your horse not leaving the stalls - have had decent bets refunded from Memory and Sariska in the past - often get good free bets as well £25 for Games and same for sports. Just stick the £25 on deal or no deal games and deal at the first round and get it in real cash <rofl> if you don't knock out the big one

    7.40 Kempton

    4/1 Compton

Quite like the look of Ralph Beckett’s 2 year old who I think has done absolutely nothing wrong in 3 starts to date. This Colt made his debut at the start of July when he was an impressive winner by 2.5L at Windsor over 6f. The form of that race looks ok, with the 5th Miss Lahar who was 3.81L back has subsequently finished 3rd and 4th in a Group 3 and Listed race as well as having won by 8L off a mark of 95. Compton really got the hang of things in the final stages and exerted close home and was going away at the end. It was rather a catching debut and he looked as if there was a lot more to come.

On his second and last start, Compton ran into what I consider a very nice type in Rebellious Guest who trainer George Margasson said its the 2nd best horse he’s ever had and has the scope to become the best. Compton finished 3.25L back in 2nd and although he never had a chance with the winner it was still a good performance especially considering Rebellious Guest is going to be competing in Group 1 company in the coming months. Further to this, Mehdi who finished 3/4L back in 3rd, subsequently won a valuable sales race on Saturday beating impressive Royal Ascot winner Samitar in the process. Further to this, the 6th that day Gung Ho Jack, who was 5L behind Compton, has since won off a mark of 79.

On his final start, Compton was stepped up to Listed class and performed admirably finishing 3.25L behind the winner Gerfalcon back in 3rd. Compton had a weird head carriage that day wearing the first time cheekpieces (which are dispensed today) and it was clear to me there is more improvement to come. The 2nd that day Gold City has franked the form by finishing an excellent 0.5L 2nd in a Conditions race behind a 102 rated horse.

To me, Compton’s form is way ahead of anything displayed by his competitors today on paper, with the favourite winning comfortably against two horses that have now won races rated in the 60s. He could be anything and although his performances were visually impressive, I definitely want to side with a horse who has clear form in higher Class races. Trainer Ralph Beckett has a fantastic record at Kempton, with a 19% strike rate at the course in the last 5 seasons and a 23% rate this year. Compton’s Dam won on the AW and I think the step up to 7f tonight should suit perfectly. This colt represents Beckett’s only runner of the day at the track and I think 4s is too big and I fancy him to run a very good race.

RV I closed my Paddy Power account a while back - let's see what they are like about reactivating. They said at the time I just needed to contact Customer Support as it wasn't a self-exclusion type thingy. If I remeber well the do offer place only betting, right?

Is George Baker the trainer a different person to George Baker the jockey, or are they one and the same? I remember a while back the horse George Baker, trained by George Baker and ridden by George Baker.

Oddy they offer a money back insurance type bet for 2nd and 3rd place, so if horse wins you get a lower return but if it loses you get your money back

Oddy, the 2 George's are different people.

The horse 'George Barker' won that Ladies Charity race at ‘Glorious’ Goodwood that dear old Emma Spencer rode in. Although they changed his name for that heat and he ran under an alias.

They are ok about reactivating - have closed mine several times in the past. Because I always close it when I am away - last time I left it open my brother had been hammering the casino section via my bank account haha - he had watched me put in details <rofl>. Paid me back but not the point<laugh>.

    Yes different person GB <ok>
