Unlucky Cats...i was tempted but maintained my discipline tahnk God!! Another poor Murtagh ride...wouldn't give up on this fella just yet, heavily eased when the clown on top found another cul-de-sac..cracking finish to the race though, almost a triple tie.
Nice of you to think of me Nass. Just catching up with things from an airport lounge. El Greco is supposed to have been the most forward of the Ballymacoll youngsters, which isn't saying much to be honest. He's well bred though and the 4th foal to race from Olympienne (Islington's full-sister), and the best of the first three (who all have won) is Patkai. He's come second on his 2yo debut which is more than Patkai and Saptapadi did so I'd expect a confidence building win on his next outing. From what I see and hear he's expected to be useful.
Back in the Uk for a few weeks (and a trip to Goodwood) got to look at the race. Did not settle that well but after 2f was travelling nicely. Moore hardly threw trhe kitchen sink at him in the finish and he must have learned a lot in the race. A really good introduction and he must come on for that. If someone hasn't put him in the notebook for the future then someone should. He is actually a three parts brother to Fiorente, both being by Monsun out a grandaughter of Hellenic. One for the future and especially as a 3yo, but I'd be surprised if he doesn't pick up at least none race this season. I believe North Light started in this very same race, also finishing 2nd.
