Of course you have to take these things at face value, but Wayne Hutchinson has put him in his 10 to follow on the sporting life website and here is what he wrote today: "Invictus - Grade 1 winner in the Reynoldstown and his form beating Bobs Worth is there for all to see. He is back in now and going really well with the first stop the Hennessy at Newbury. He won't run before and could be a very well handicapped horse as he has been given a chance."
I've looked at the Hennessy and agree totally. 10st gives Invictus a ridiculous chance. He should be going off a very short price fav from that mark.
Well done Oddy - fantastic price I have a fancy for one in the last at Kempton if able to get in from a bad draw. Kempton 8.00 Jamaican Grande
I think Tidal Bay will run Toppy - not many other options for him and although he is 5lbs higher than last year I guess they are thinking there is no Bobs Worth in the field this time round. Correct, but there is a horse who has beaten Bobs Worth and who would be getting 26lbs from Tidal Bay .
Just for a laugh, €1 e/w on Imperial Throne in the 8.45 at Dundalk. Galileo gelding who has shown bugger all in 3 maidens over 8F, 8F and 5F (!!!!!) and is now upped to 10F on handicap debut with first-time cheek pieces applied off a mark of 54 with a 5lbs claimer on his back. 18/1 why the feck not? I will piss myself if this goes and wins
I hope he runs mate. Would be fantastic for the weights. What would the weight impact be if he gets pulled? Any ideas?
