Thatâs the million dollar question. If someone held a gun to my head though Iâd repond, âYes, I bally well do. Or fairly close to it at any rate.â 3 out of Riverside Theatreâs last 4 outings have been over 3 miles+ a distance that I donât think is really for him as it stretches his stamina to the absolute hilt. I think they can largely be ignored. Around 20 furlongs though heâs a much different animal and was in no way disgraced on his sole start over this distance in 21 months â 4th in Marchâs Ryanair Chase, 12 lengths adrift of the Cue Card. First time up is very much when to catch the old boy as well as Riverside Theatreâs form on his return each autumn/winter each term, reads -111116. Disappointed to see that it hasn't quite worked out for the African Gold over the big 'uns but time is still on his side. Looks like a consolidation season over hurdles beckons before another go over fences in 12 months time.
The AB was a bad race. Looked poor last year. Looks dreadful now. AFC didn't hold every chance when he blundered. He was never winning that race. AFC's form was talked up last year mainly because of The New One and the Neptune. The Neptune has worked out poorly with a Capital P. You said yourself earlier that you think Zarkandar will win this weekend. So I'll keep on chuckling until something stacks up.
That Regal Encore is becoming expensive to follow. Wouldn't have touched him with a barge pole today at those odds mind. Anyone think JP could use some better talent scouts? This one and also the bumper winner he bought from Greatrex (Chalk It Down) have both seemingly failed to go on from their bumper form. Conversely, Andrea & Graham Wylie seem to have purchased a pot full of superstars.
2 ling KUANYAO could and should take revenge on nassau storm terms are reversed from 6f race kuanyau is much better off and loves shifting in the 7f should be an ew steal at 11/2 but is weighted to takethis race
Always a dreamer Best of luck tonight but an understrength Barca is still way ahead of Hertz boys and a team that couldnae beat Albion Rovers
Shame that I liked the look of circus star but noted him down for next time weight wise what a joey lol
The drift was somewhat offputting and ultimately borne out. Have lost a few bob backing Pipe horses recently - very wary of doing so at present.
