One from my ATR tracker today... 8.40 Worcester - Houseparty, 8/1... One to keep the faith with after running a bit green last time... Put in a single/double with Sticks choice...
Thought the 9/2 on the baggy green seemed too tasty this morning. Wish I unloaded rather than a measly score.
Good luck with Houseparty, Red. In this race Taroum has been smashed into - currently 7-2, yet on current form should be double figures. He showed a glimmer of his best form LTO and I was thinking of having an ew untill I took a look at the prices. Assuming that is stable money, this looks like a good touch for someone
Naas 7.30 Tropical Mist 14/1 Think this could be way overpriced, I thought she ran better than the result last time in a strong race to make a handicap debut in, she won a decent maiden at Gowran previously and with the experience of that last run under her belt I can see her going much better tonight. She has the assistance of the best apprentice in Ireland which is a plus and the 3 pounds from the handicapper will certainly help, its a decent little race but she looks worth a bet to me at 14s.
I know this is a stupid comment but isn't AP riding with such brilliance at the moment, he is pushing horses into races at the right time and he is superb. Top chap.
Agreed Nass. He gave Favoured Nation a terrific ride at Uttoxeter yesterday - not pocket talk as I hadn't even backed it.
I'm going to give Spock a chance in the 6:40 at Worcester. C & D winner last year and has harry derham on board who must be worth his 5lb claim.
Evening all, Great ride from Jason Maguire there on Atlanta Falcon. Thought the favourite, On The Bridge, was going to pick him up after the last but kept on under a drive.
Just had a look at the full result and it wasn't as bad as I thought: 1. She beat the 7/2 f. 4/1 2f and 4/1 3f 2. Not the best of runs, Slowly into stride and in rear, headway and not much room 2f out, ridden well over 1f out, stayed on final furlong, nearest finish (op 16/1) 3. It would seem not expected to win (given the drift in the market) Maybe a drop in the weights and a run at Carlisle with either the same jockey or Julie Burke or Paul Hanagan over 6f or 7f. Ground not too important.
