I don't know that either. Trainer was Charlie Nelson and Piggott rode her to win the Fred Darling Stakes. And it's Millingdale Lillie btw
Lol Ron!..I stand corrrected on my spelling. I didn't know the trainer!..complete top of the head stuff from me..always been a bit of a geek re the old horses from an early age. Sangster owned it btw. My Father worked for the Irish Government in Dublin in the early 80's and my first ever day at the races encompassed the Oldbawn Maiden at Leopardstown where Golden Fleece beat Assert. Between them they won three Derbies the next season.....to my mind more the best maiden ever run...and I exclude Frankel beating Nathanial for obvious reasons.
