Have to take you on with this one!

Al Alfa- 2/1

He should find a little easier than the races he's contested of late, he is the class act of this race and proved himself to be a horse in form when runner-up in a stronger handicap, on similarly testing ground, at Warwick last time out. He seems to thrive on this ground and stamina wont be a problem- I can see him dictating the pace from the front making all and turning this 2m 110 into a real test and run the legs off of the rest of the field!

Well called Wooly - I will say however that Al Alfa was there for the taking over the last two but my lad clearly has a problem getting away from the fences and loses all momentum at every fence. Had it been an omitted fence at the last mine had the fuel in the tank still and would I feel have caught you with an extended run on the flat.

I thought Lewis Steward spoke very well on ATR when interviewed before the last at Southwell only to go out and ride it as if it were Wolverhampton or Lingfield, he hogged the rail off the turn and must have been bemused as everyone left him there on his own knowing that you never go down the inside rail off the turn at Southwell. He spoke before of the horse being well handicapped and it travelled well and I would back it when back at Wolverhampton.
