hi lads, checking in from austria. managed to catch the big two races at kempton yesterday - thanks for the link swanny - i think we definately didn't see the the champ hurdle winner regardless of whether the fly runs. as for the king george, wow! what a buzz. i wasn't quite as emotional as Ron!! but yes i was certainly moved and delighted in equal measure. Once again Long Run looked short of pace over 3miles but the way he was coming back at Kauto suggests that the Gold Cup would be much more in Long Run's favour imho but some of us had suggested/agreed this before the king george on that thread. Didnt see any of todays stuff, I'll catch it when i get back but a quick question regarding the wayward. How much did Peddlers mistake at the first take out of him? By the sounds of it he was destroyed from start to finish. Again, I think cheltenham will be much more suited to PC than SS but 16l is a heck of a lot to find and, going on the racing post report, PC was eased but SS wasn't even extended. Who else impressed/disappointed at Kempton today with regards to the festival?? lads and should be back on next week/year
Just watched the replays - some performance by Finians Rainbow to get up and win today. Was down on his nose at the 4th last
Well done to all those who backed Le Beau Bai. Haven't had time to look through the whole thread but I did spot WF, Cyclonic, Istabraq and Shearer
Ron: it's not often I can say this but me too! BOG with Hills so got the 10's instead of the 8's when I placed Enjoy your hols George - watch the Wayward Lad race when you get back, SS was awesome. Some are already trying to find reasons to oppose him in the Arkle but for me if he turns up he wins
