Worst fall I have seen for some time Odddy just flat out twitching instantly has really made me feel sick.
Disappointed Peddlers Cross got beat. Maybe his optimum trip is 2m 4f. But I'd back him in the Arkle.
I feel physically sick after watching that poor horse suffering.Totally takes the gloss of the sprinter Sacre demolition job :-(
Yes WF from first viewing I think he did - wouldn't watch a replay though so can't say for sure. Hope Townend is ok also
Cheltenham is a different ball game, Peddlers as proved he battles up that hill. But very impressive showing from Sprinter Sacre none the less...
Ista it is a different ball game but he was made to look ordinary by Sprinter Sacre that was a serious performance he could have won by 30 lengths - never off the bridle
I totally agree, Peddlers isn't short of pace either which makes the performance even more impressive...
RIP Golden Silver - his trainer was interviewed earlier, saying the horse "stands no chance" - I really hope that was because he thought he wasn't good enough not because he'd got doubts about his wellbeing. So much for a rank outsider - they are outsiders for a reason I suppose!
Willie Mullins was saying he had no chance? RIP Golden Silver. Won his fair share of Group One's. Horrible fall, Poor fella...
You would still have the nagging doubt with Sprinter Sacre though - remember in the Supreme Novices he was pulling McCoys arms out coming round the final bend but was the worst of the first 3 coming up the hill ....................... although you could argue he is a bigger and stronger horse this year and chases are run slower than hurdle races
He would have been there for place money behind Big Zeb certainly capable of winning top races as we have seen in the past. Cracking horse he was. Lovely pic WF
Right we're off to drink someone else's booze for a few hours. Best of luck for the rest of the day lads
Poor Golden Silver. Another good one lost... Dylan Ross Leopardstown`1.55 I backed him e/w at 12s. Travels like a very, very good horse. Just hope the ground's dried out enough for him... If so he can beat Willie's hotpot.
