What the hell is Papandreou playing at? It will take months to organise and execute a referendum (they are talking of January). Hopefully the no-confidence vote will go against him on Friday and they can get someone in to run the place who knows what they are doing.
SirBarney - does Mr Henderson have the same riding arrangement with Barry Geraghty this season? Haven't seen much of BG in the UK recently .....................
Its not quite so black and white oddy. Its an attempt for him to salvage himself and share the burden of tough decisions with the people. At the moment he is being considered a dictator. Worth noting that the Dax is still trading 18% above early Sept level. Given that the situation in Greece is more in doubt now, there is a lot of room for equities to fall.
One for me today runs in the 1.50 Exeter and is BRIEFCASE at odds of 9/1 (EW), formerly with NTD but since his chnage of stable he has threatened to win a race on his last three outings but has found some useful types up against him. Will be stripped fit for his outings and shoudl go close agin today. His trainer has good stats with 15 runs 2 wins and 6 places which gives him a 50% place strike rate. Good luck today guys
3.00 Kempton: Gallantry 8/1- Really well handicapped on his form from this time last year, and loves the AW. Shaped really nicely on return over C&D last time and is a full 17lb lower than when winning a handicap over C&D in January 2011. Fallon booked and looks eyecatching. 4.00 Kempton: New Hampshire 11/2- Would be a warm order judged on his run two starts back but Gosden does well at the Kempton evening meets and I think he might be able to defy top weight.
I bought Commerzbank at 1.74. Last Friday morning, as I was preparing to go to Sweden for the weekend, it hit 2.10. "Shall I get rid?" I asked myself. Of course, I didn't, and now they're trading at 1.57 That's 25% down in just 2 and a half trading sessions - more like a bloody penny stock than Germany's second biggest bank Results due on Friday, that's the only chink of light I can see ................... or will it be more bad news???
Here we go with Rocky Creek - absolutely backed off the boards. This is only the 2nd horse (after Ghizao) that I can remember in the combined Wylie/Johnson colours - anyone know of any more?
Lovely stuff. Ken at the track for Willy Hill Radio said this was his big negative and it didn't look fit so on that basis definitely a horse to keep an eye on!
Interesting and certainly bold TopClass. I must say i hope you're wrong on at least one account today! Really hope Captain Chris can win today. Think there were excuses every time he was beaten last year and he just kept on improving and improving. Think he can be top class this season.
Interesting runner in the 2.20 at Exeter in the shape of Mirific. Owned by Michael Buckley and trained by Tom Symonds, there is a bit of a "Mr Henderson" feel to this one. 50/1 could be worth a small e/w dabble on the Linamix gelding. Had one run in France for Criquitte Head, finishing 2nd, but has been out of action for a long time.
Backed Captain Chris in the Haldon Gold Cup and have had a saver on Ghizao too. Think it should be between the two and think that the Captain will come out on top. Seems a lot of people disagree though at the weights. Should be an informative race.
Yes, and it could easily end up looking like two very silly lays. But from a value perspective and exposure, they are good lays if you genuinely think you can see a situation where both could be vulnerable, and in this case I just feel the prices are more in a layers favour. The run has to come to an end some time I suppose after the first 5 were all successful!
No bet for me Zen but I can see the top 6 all being involved (as long as Zaarito stays on his feet). Cracking contest in prospect.
Funny old market this. Ghizao was right in to 3.1 and now out to 3.7. Captain Chris into 3.3 from 3.6. Divided opinions its fair to say.
Wow that sounded like a cracking race. Medermit back to his best or would CC have won if he'd jumped the last well?
