Todays NAP is 3.40 Hamilton Albaraka go with rest of win lucky 63 today 2.40 Leicester Lightning Cloud 3.25 Cartmel Colditz 6.20 Bath Musical Bridge 6.40 Epsom Repeater 9.10 Doncaster Sangar
Ha ha, not sure I agree with your maths GDC!!! Know what you mean though. We will see anyway. I think its worth a few shillings with Johnson horses in good form.
RV - I see exactly what you say about Treasure Beach and in many ways agree. Howwever, I do think that the french horses tend to do better in some races than others and this is one where i'd say they do quite well. I'd be inclided to plump for reliable man. If I was having a bet in the Open i'd have gone on the each way with Justin Rose
Tower wins the 16;35 at cartmel im told,,,,,,,james lamb had a few he thought were going there to win put the ones i were given are now non runners stay frosty
At Hamilton today as guest of Ian Semple again. Not much going for him but SAFARI SUNRISE will hammer GDCs selection and win. The best bet of today is in the last at cartmel-MURFREESBORO. TALK OF SAFFEND topples tower sorry, but good luck all the same hassleburg. I think the v knowledgeable RAINBOW VIEW has got it exactly right with the french race.
Nass: Thanks very much for that, i shall tread carefully then mate. She looked a nice prospect during that debut, shame she picked up an injury.
Just copying what I've already written on Refugees so apologies if any of you have to read my drivel twice! See if we can find any gems in todays low grade afternoon racing, as well as some in-play bets on The Open Championship 2.30 Hamilton: GREYFRIARSCHORISTA 14/1- Lets get things straight- it has been completely out of sorts of late and seems to run out of gas quite quickly. Usually a miler, this is a drop down to 6f and whilst it does seem a bit of desperation, we have De Sousa on board and I think he will let the horse bowl along with prominent tactics and off a mark of 72 I'm willing to take the chance. Bet with caution though. 3.05 Hamilton: CONVENTION 6/1 (NAP)- Expensive Ed Dunlop purchase that I think is destined to win some nice races in the future. Looked to have been learning in two starts so far but shaped with tonnes of promise, not far behind some useful sorts last time including Mick Channons STELLA POINT, Gosden's Rainbow Springs and POLYGON. I think it can go very close today. 2.10 Leicester: RED MISCHIEF 6/1- Back at the right trip for handicap bow today, and much of the maiden form has worked out reasonably well. Its the best form on offer imo and the price is more to do with temperament (flashes tail). Main concern for me is Fallon is on board, so he might be laying it on Betfair as we speak, LOL. But it is still unexposed and I think is in off a good mark of 62, possibly 6-7lb well in if translating the marks of those who finished just ahead of it in maidens. The Open Championship I think the later afternoon starters and evening playmight see slightly calmer conditions and therefore we might get some nice value First Round Leader Bets. Darren Clarke 100/1 Padraig Harrington 66/1 Jim Furyk 80/1
Also going to throw in STELLA POINT 10/3 as a strong recommendation in the 3.40 Listed race at Hamilton. That looks a big price to me having run some very nice races behind Oaks winner Dancing Rain, Oaks 3rd Izzi Top, and also easy listed winner RUMH. 10/2 is a big price. Seems to be well thought of by Channon. I'm awaiting the next run of Arnold Lane from his yard also.
First time poster here so i'll try to make a good start NAP for today 2.30 Hamilton- Hinton Admiral Also have a fancy for Stella Point in the 3.40 at Hamilton, 4th place behind Izzi Top and Dancing Rain reads well and i think there could be more to come from this horse now it's got a win under the belt.
Have had a small dabble on ELECTRICKERY in the opener - 7-1 seems a fair price, she has shown plenty of ability in two career starts so far and I feel the latest maiden she contested will work out well with O'GORMAN and BARTOLEMEU both catching the eye. I don't feel this race looks very good and the only one I fear is the Ryan newcomer
I take is as a compliment that the young lads are trying to get my selections 'hammered' Top: I have also backed Harrington, not had the best of starts though
Don: How many doubles and how many trebles for 7 selections? Got to be loads? Top: I think this forum has nigh on every horse running in the 230 now
