Someone I know has a runner today at Taunton in the Bumper. BEACH RHYTHM cost $100,000 as a yearling but later failed to sell at the Newmarket July Sale as a 2yo. He was given to his current owner/trainer for free and he has nursed back to soundness over the last 18 months. His ultimate aim is to run him in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham, probably wishful thining, but this guy is nothing if not the ultimate optimist! "Big Red", as he is also known is very much a family pet and recently had a racecourse spin to keep him ticking over. There is a video on YouTube and I will see if I can find it and post it here. I'm not saying I think he'll win, but I'll certainly be having a small each way on him and we'll take the roof of our office cheering him home!
Mr Henderson’s Sprinter Sacre making his chasing bow up at Doncaster tomorrow! Will he still be 9/1 for the Arkle in 26 hours hence?!? Big opportunity for David Bass who gets the ride. Tremendous display of loyalty by the forum’s favourite trainer and a real confidence boast for the lad.
Beach Rythm 320 Taunton is expected to go very well, 12s will not last as they are going for a punt! I have covered with a nice SFC behind Trespasser (£18 with BOG, good old 365). Be Lucky
Good to hear! I found the workout video's of Beachy's spin round Exeter a few weeks ago. He is on the nearside, with a blanket clip. He was ridden by James Millman and, although the camera stops abruptly, he did actually pull well clear of the other horse. Danbo, im exactly the same mate, 25s, 10s and 40s. If thats comes in Dapper can have a heated rug for the winter!!
Been given a nudge and a wink that Thehillofuisineach wins the first at Huntingdon. 5/2 at the minute but that won't be around for long
Good morning all... Just got to the thread a little late today... Looks like the power of the forum is working... Beach Rhythm is now into 15/2 on PadPow...!!! Good luck to any who got anything bigger as by the looks of it that price may not be around for much longer...!!! Just checking out a few others and hopefully pick a few out...
Boylesports going 5/1 about somersby as part of their christmas count down 6/4 to 5/1 cant be taking much at that price
Max bet is £20, and only available for limited time. I'm happy to back him at that price, good race but he should really be up to winning
No mention of Italian Master yet. This one was quite well touted by Nicholls in his pre-season stable tours and was one if his 5 Hurdlers to follow from his Betfair Open Day. He has been weak in the market this morning, and whilst the Henderson horse looks decent it wouldn't be an insurmountable task. Might be worth a few quid EW because it would be disappointing if he were out of the frame. Tuscan Gold received a favourable write up from Alan King in the Weekender yesterday and he might prove the main danger. Coming round to Surfing in the Peterborough Chase. Just think he might be open to more improvement than the principles and might be worth an EW wager at the prices.
Going for a classic wimp's bet involving Somersby. He really should win, but I can't be going in large at 6/4. Similarly, Long Run really should win the King George on boxing day, but I can't really be having 13/8 ante-post (though if Kauto Star doesn't run, he'll be odds on). A bit of fool's logic is required to reach the following conclusion - bring on the double, at about 11/2.
