Lasagne, roast potatoes and carrots. Very good. 8/10.

I see that in the ‘lucky last’ at Winkers today (5.40) Mr Nicholls debuts EARTHMOVES who is a half-brother to the very decent hurdler, Ptit Zig. Fascinating to see how he fares on his introduction. It’s rumoured though that those old rogues the Pipe’s also have a decent one debuting in the same contest so just a watching brief is advised, troops. Afterall, I have no knowledge as to whether or not Daddy Martin had the ‘magic fridge’ open last night. Earthmoves one to keep on the right side of in the future though, methinks.

Now for today’s Cheltenham quiz question. How many Festivals have taken place since the saddle monkey monikered ‘AP McCoy’ was top rider at the Festival.

Good luck all.

The answer to the quiz quest incidentally was that there have been 14 (fourteen) Cheltenham Festivals since the chap known as ‘AP McCoy’ has been champion saddle monkey at the meeting. In that time, by the way, attitude adjuster wielders such as ‘Chocolate’ Thornton, Graham Lee and, cor blimey, Mick Fitzgerald have taken the honours!

I bet old boys Ruby and Barry will chortle like lunatics next week every time they are told by lazy journalists, ‘ahhhhhhhhhh, AP, there’s never been another one like him, you know’.
