Wouldn't be in any hurry to back Telescope for the Derby at those odds.

Always a huge amount of hype from Herbert and the management of these Highclere syndicates...remember Bonfire and Vow for example.

Promising colt mind you but may end up gelded in the Winter and ineligible for Epsom!

Sir Michael Stoute's Telescope appears to have entered the equation for next year's Investec Derby after a near-flawless victory at Newmarket.

Send off the 8-13 favourite after finishing second on his debut at Ascot, he needed only to be pushed out by Richard Hughes to take the British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing E.B.F. Maiden Stakes by two and a quarter lengths.

Coral offer 20-1 for next year's Classic, with Ladbrokes as short as 16s.

"He's a big horse with lots of scope," said Stoute.

"He has run two very promising races and as he's out of a Darshaan mare by Galileo, he should get further.

"I don't know if you'll see him again this year. He's in the Racing Post Trophy, but I wouldn't commit myself to that."

    As just posted on ATR...

    About a week's wages isn't it?

Agree with Toppy, the judicial system found him not guilty yet the FA punish him. Be interested to hear exactly how hey've come to that conclusion........

Actually this will just piss everybody off - those who think he is innocent will ask why the FA see fit to punish him, those who think he is guilty will be outraged at what appears a relatively trivial punishment (4 match ban - you can get a 3 match ban for a bad tackle) and 220K fine which is a drop in the ocean to him.

    Well done the FA <laugh>
