Quite apporpiate it should be anmed after a song made famous by the dublinners - like some of the band members the horse looked half pissed when he left the gate.......
Today's got to be the best day of Royal Ascot this week! Who'll be presenting the trophy for the Ascot Gold Cup then!
Grumpy punter time: Simenon met endless amount of trouble in running there, snatched up 3 or 4 times!
Terrible ride on the Altano who was finishing fastest of all. Not a bad 80th birthday present gift for the Queen
4.25 Ascot Roca Tumu 25/1 Keeping this short but I fancy Joanna Morgan's unexposed Roca Tumu to run a big race here. With only 4 races in his career to date, this 3 year old put behind an underwhelming debut when overcoming a lot to score at the 2nd time of asking by a narrow margin at Navan on heavy ground over a mile last October before being put away for the winter. After a satisfactory handicap debut over 10f at Leopardstown on reappearance, I was really impressed with the manner of his all the way success at the Curragh on Guineas weekend when making all under todays pilot Billy Lee to score by a little over 2L but he had the race sewn up a few furlongs out. He's up 9lb to a mark of 96 but he certainly has scope for improvement and I definitely think he's still on a workable mark. It will be interesting to see if he attempts to go from the front again today or is ridden with more restraint but if he gets a clear run from his central birth I am quietly confident of a big run. 5.35 Ascot Bold Sniper 5/1 Bold Sniper looks set to run a huge race. Has extremely strong form in the book winning winning both his starts with a hood applied since a solid debut and his bloodless victory LTO took a major form boost last night when Rundell scored at Kempton last night. He's up 9lb to a mark of 90 now which I think still looks a very manageable mark and although the draw in stall 16 looks tricky the Stoute/Moore combination are flying and I think he'll take a lot of beating.
Wooly, of course! What a gutsy performance by the filly. Just refused to be beaten. Whah! George: 80th????
Really dont see how wentworth is 1.fav and 2. so short. Id be laying it all day, really dont see it winning.
Swanny that horse was a gift from the Aga Khan think they said on TV an 80th birthday gift might have misheard SMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Flying!!
What you talking about SMP? this horse has got form with Piscean, and if he were in the race he would be tailed off. Joking aside I do agree it is short but I have backed it as someone reasonably near the yard told me last week that it was thought to be their best chance of a winner and has loads in hand at the weights. We will soon see however as there are so may horse that are pointed at this meeting only to fall short, such is the competition.
SMP feck me that could be a life changer indeed - amazing stuff. At a quid e/w stake and 1/4 odds on the place terms you're already looking at return of 721.19. One more winner already puts you into serious money. All the very best
