I thought Rainbow View would be good Nass obviously and she was but I never compared her to any other horse epsecially the heap that is linked to your username
Grizzly, I would suggest that money has been down on the pair but the 'plunge' will be exagerated by the fact that its Segal and bookmakers wouldn't want a large liability on the pair. I was thinking about the B365 4/1 offer and how you often see horses shortening in the evening prior to racing, I wonder how much it takes to move a horse in that market. I also wonder if betfair punters have started using the offer to try and get free bets.
For those interested Stick posted up the following last night: 3.50 Taunton tomorrow I think HOLMWOOD LEGEND is well overpriced at 14-1. A festival winner last season, he should be spot on now and is decent EW value.
Great quote from Alan King in the local media – Interviewer: How far will Hold on Julio stay? AK: As far as I train him to! Fantastic response! Meanwhile, loads of prizemoney at Taunton today I see they’ve a total of £70k on offer that’s over £40k more than Newbury yesterday...work that one out. Really good card today although I won’t be getting involved.
Nass, fair comment, but I think there are very few bookies these days, vast majority are accountants looking for 10% rather than actually laying a horse. Sadly the only place proper money gets wagered is Betfair, and I wouldn't be surprised if the big boys sit there watching the screen and as soon as there looks like there's a shortening of a horse they cut their price, without taking a penny, and of course if ithappens to be a Segal tip then the warning flags will be flying already. 3.50 Taunton Chariot Charger, outstanding each way value
Hello lads. Decent racing today and not for paltry sums either.Racing badly needs to attract sponsors. The tobacco fraternity and their blood money are sadly missed. I'm sure we all remember the B&H Gold Cup,Embassy Premier Chase Series,Rothmans Royals series etc.At least there is still one race in the calendar sponsored by a tobacco company.Any ideas?
Anyhow,my nap today is the best mare in Ireland, who i have been waiting for all week.I have to agree with Cyc in that Eddie is taking the wee wee...again! Really like the mare Knockfierna who was giving the gelded Sir Des Champs a fright before running out at the second last over the festive season. She was a dual graded hurdle winner and prior to her last outing had beaten two decent sorts when winning a couple of novice events, one a G3. Generally a good jumper, she has DR back on board today and whilst this is a hot little race and she has to concede 6lbs,I think she is up to it. I missed the 5/2 last evening and got 2's,she is now trading at 13/8...whether the last mentioned price is value is debatable. GL all having a punt. Oddy that big vibrating thing compacting the earth outside your betting suite is actually called a vibrator!
Thank goodness he appears to have ****ed off - could be a case of "rain stopped play" cos it's pissing down
Sounds lovely...I'm on ham, cheese and mustard sarnies with Baxters Scotch Broth followed by decaf and a big caramel square. Some of the competitors on MC last night would struggle with that menu....
Ah the age old, whats for lunch. Today its a brown roll with peppered beef and baby lettuce. Followed by an Apple and sultana flapjack. Thrilling stuff.
88-7...bloody hell!....and we're the best test nation on the planet... Nearly 8 down,Umar Gul just bowled a no ball before having Swann plum leg before.
I love how they try to "jazz up" sandwiches by adding words to the content - wtf is "baby" lettuce? And peppered beef? In my day t'would have been a beef salad sarni. Job done. It's that fecking Jamie Oliver's doing ..................... is it "au jus?"
Why have the wheels fallen off England? It can't be permanent. They must bounce back, they are too good a team. Its top team v number 5. Have faith me thinks.
Agree Cyc...minor blip. Maybe the sterile spectatorless atmosphere is failing to create the desired playing conditions...
