It was close enough. I used to hate those 100m runners, too much tool bouncing around. I think those blokes were more interested in who had the the biggest swinging dick, then the stop watch.
Nice one, you'll love it! Remember this one: Leos Lucky Star, it'll do you a favour on the Friday ;-)
Gary its a bloody dog of a race, but they normally produce big priced ones. Your does seem to prefer Kempton and hasnt been totally disgraced when there, the stable are 3 from 9 in the last two weeks with Monghan riding all 3, looks like its being nibbled at in the market in to 16/1 from 25/1. Looks like Stick has created a bit of interest in this race, lets hope someone on here manages to come up trumps, good luck
What a Friend isn't a bad horse. Beaten 3.5L behind Denman (receiving 22pounds ) Beat Carruthers by same at level weights G1. Nacarat and Calgary beaten out of sight same race. Imperial Commander unshipped rider in same race, so not good enough. Beaten 11L by Long Run, but horribly flogged last start. I'd like to see him run a big race, but on his latest, he's hard to fancy.
Toppy: Hows the shares mate? Those 2 I passed are both going well, Reneuron will take off at some stage, still well worth an investment if you have a nice winner. Kenmare have more than doubled, I'm still in but sold 2/3 of my lot and made a healthy £260
Good horse but flattered by his 11 lengths to Long Run and I still feel like he blew the Hennessy by hanging. And I am a massive Denman fan
Cheers mate, i like the yard especially when they have a go at a big outsider, all the 33s has gone now, Boylesports down to 12s, was as big as 40s not long ago!!
Any thoughts on the first at Mussleburgh? Regal Park was useful performer on the flat but got it all wrong FTO over hurdles, the extra 4f here wont be a problem as he was a dour stayer on the flat having won over 2m on the flat on Good to Soft, for an outsider I think Winstone could go close at 25/1
Todays racing: 1.50 Southwell: IVAN THE TERRIBLE 12/1 e.w I've just got an incline that this horse has a chance of really taking to the surface. Southwell runs alongside the same form lines of soft ground. On debut, soft ground at Newcastle, Ivan The Terrible 'made smooth headway on the bit 2f out on inside' before not quite finding in the late part of the race. Horses with winning form off 65 from that race, and he shaped as good if not better than any. Looked to be getting the hang of things when running on well at Wolverhampton LTO and off 53 today, with a good young 5lb claim from Charles Eddery, I am hopeful of a run at a big price.
Even in the 70's and 80's the East German 'women' wore baggyshorts...!!! Not that im saying a hairy top lip was unattractive back then, but they certainly would have shown us more in skin tight lycra...!!!
LTO was his seasonal bow over hurdles where he again ran flat.He certainly has ability but isn't one to trust. Testing sort for any trainer...even Mr Henderson.
Wayward: Probably Ferdys but Think Green as an EW alternative at nice price, Brian Hughes riding well at moment.
Sorry, I thought he meant the Grand National effort last time out over fences. That run at Wetherby was a strange one, not sure what Nicholls was planning at the time (crack at GN again?) but he since switched his target to the GC and then one more run.
