I cant blame the jockey this time, he had a pretty rough trip but thats to be expected at Goodwood in a big field and he got out in plenty of time with 2 furlongs to run. It was Pythagorean who cost himself the race today and not for the first time, once he got out he wasted the 2nd last furlong hanging all over the shop and it wasnt till the 1 pole that he actually started to run straight. I was pretty sure he got up live, I thought dead heat at worst on the freeze but the winner has just stolen it literally by a pixel with a great ride from Hanagan. He was up in another stride and as Mellish said after the race, if everything clicks for him he could absolutely bolt up in one of those races. Again im left with the impression he was by far the best horse in the race and again he hasnt won. Hes never going to be straightforward and he is never going to fulfill his potential because of that but I think its time to step him up in trip and he obviously has a big handicap in him, hopefully sooner rather than later for those following him. Probably be running off 96 next time.

Didn't see the race Joe. Sounds a bit of a monkey, like Orfevre (maybe not quite that bad). He's worn a hood in his last 6 races. Any idea when he was cut?

i like the look of Regiment in the 4.15pm Goodwood. eye catching jockey booking and was unlucky to lose his last race. ground drying out and well drawn.Fahey won the race 12 months ago.....cracking each way bet. No bet for me though still i think although potential to leave work early for this......
