Missed the Lincoln as he was not ready to run so reasonable to assume he probably needed it last time when the drying ground went against him at Newbury. Would have been nice if the handicapper dropped him a pound or two but he has his conditions here and I think he is capable of running a big race. Abseil looks open to improvement but he is very short for a race like this and not certain to love the ground despite his good run at Chester. Tough race but I like this horse and Lanigan had a nice winner on Tuesday so they need keeping an eye on after a slow start.

The Brigadier Gerard looks a hard race to call, bit of a farce really with such a small field, Hillstar should be ok on the ground but hes not going to get a strongly run race to show his best, Remote could be very good this year but they are worried the ground might be too soft, Top Notch Tonto will have to steal it so Sharestan might be the one. He handles the ground, can sit handy and quicken so he looks most likely to benefit from how this race will pan out but nothing would really surprise me in this.

Really do think you should be napping bonnie grey in the 640 smokey went like a rocket in bad conditions lto and with the same jockey and conditions I can only see an improvment on the win

350 ARDMAY should romp home the odds were much better early doors ! The 2nd fav chosen character really needs a forcefull jockey and I dont think thats there today . If any go close it will be lazarus bell at 11s very ew friendly
