I quite like Lambro too but is short enough in the market. Far away So Close is solid and looks decent e/w value at 9/1. I think the return to 2m will suit.
INDIAN VIOLET 3.40 Lingfield 28-1 is an interesting runner. A course and distance winner off a mark 6lb higher this time last year. Likely to try to make all.
Last Of The Leaders finished 7th in the race that last Sundays winner Carlingford Lough finished 6th in. Might be an idea to keep an eye on the collateral form of that race. Great ride by DR there.
Far Away So Close was beaten a long way out and that ground is not what he wants...doesn't jump well enough to be competive in open company at this stage in his career either. Lambro ran Ok but doesn't look particularly well h'capped at present.
STORM RUNNER in the next for me at Lingers. Won 4 times and placed 3 times in last couple of months. Certainly a horse for course. Good run last time behind Whispering Warrior.
An Oliver McKiernan outsider makes all in a staying chase and wins shocker! He's a tough horse that one...thought he was gonna be overhauled before the last but just keep going.
Didn't stay Ginge imo. Travelled well though and dropped back to 3m off 138 he has plenty of options...only a 7-y-o with 8 previous runs before and open to plenty of improvement.
Young Master Tart will give better rides than that I feel. How he didnt at least get a place is bewildering!
Should we all just forget about today. I will reconvene to discuss Darlan et al around 9.30am tomorrow.
