He was always a front runner over hurdles but you would have hoped for a bit more caution over the bigger obstacles. Obviously the false start was a bit unfortunate as he flew that fence first time but absolutely clattered it in the race proper, which probably cost him any chance tbh. Would have liked Brennan to try and hold him up but I can imagine he would have been fighting for his head all the way and shot his load that way. He didn't see a stride at a lot of the fences and maybe Brennan could have tried to steady him into them a bit more? His jumping was pretty binary tbh - either pinged them or made a complete balls-up
No chance with the winner but a massive for Tom Scudamore on Gem Mill - never gave up and gave me a real run for my money.
And she did win - bloody marvellous. Dettori really had to fight his way out of a hole and she showed great guts Be interesting to see how First Lieutenant goes here at Tipperary

Not a bad debut rounders - a bit guessy but entitled to be so on his first chase and I'm sure there was plenty left in the tank and plenty more to come
game is most definitely on. One poor jump but everything else went aswell or better than i'd hoped. Loads of improvement to come as well. Very encouraging.
5.45 at Tippers. Double Double 8/1 I was thinking of backing o'briens other runner but that's been withdrawn leaving the selections which may be a tip in itself. Double double has run in the cheltenham and curragh bumpers and if replicating that form will challenge st gervais who was a very good winner last time out.
Miss L Dowdall wouldn't win any style prizes but that looks a decent animal - put the race to bed in a matter of strides
