Nass he wouldn't have won anyways. Thought SNA was going to win turning in Joseph gave him a perfect ride. This race was a joke Goldikova pissed all over that 2nd horse not long ago - the thing is a dog and danedream is nothing special - one thing to say before I take off for a while again

    DOGFORCE ;) Nar just joking

    good luck all

So You Think beaten by the draw. By a distance the best horse in that race in my opinion. Tge winner had no weight on her back and a great draw. SYT had alot of weight and a terrible draw to overcome. Obviously Seamie has not covered himself in glory with that ride.

Astonishing result. 66/1 Shareta in 2nd begs a lot of questioning.

    3 fillies in the first 3 <doh>

St Nic had perfect trip, did not pick up.

SYT too far back, but then 3 quarters of the field seemed to get caught on the hop! They should have all followed SNAs lead and closed up, but they didnt, bar the German filly.

The one conclusion I can come up with is that there were certainly no superstars in that Arc.

I thought the ride on SYT was fine to be honest, he just didn't have the gears to quicken past horses. He made good ground turning in but the winner skipped clear.

Cracking run by the brilliant globe trotting filly Snow Fairy, a third place for the 2nd time in the race for Ed Dunlop and his 3yr old fillies.. he's been lucky with Ouija Board and Snow Fairy

SYT and Sarafina were almost stride for stride coming down the straight so I don't think you can crab the form - both horses simply started their runs from too far back against a filly that has gone close to a record time. They had at least 15 lengths to make up and to me you have to be an exceptional horse coming late against tiring horses to do that up the Longchamp straight.

Yes, very good run by Snow Fairy but we know she isn't up to the standard of beating a world class colt, so maybe we have to question the strength of the division this year. Who knows, we will have to let the dust settle and see what next season brings. I don't want to take away anything from Danedream though, who as Nass said, frankly skipped clear.

the draw played the biggest part in that race. alot of us decided to ignore it and lost. if it isn't drawn low out won't win.

Hi RV..good to see you back on mate.

Can't fathom that race at all at the moment.I think the right thing to do was to drop SYT but there was a time mid race to creep and SH didn't do that.

He got Wonder Of Wonders beaten into 7th palce in a maiden at the start of the season, meaning that the pledge AO'B gave that his stable jocks woulkd ride all the top horses was reversed.Ryan Moore and Soumillion were frequently utilised subsequently.

The filly won nicely tbf but SYT was badly ridden, what ever way you dress it up.

The time is completely irrelevant given the abnormal ground conditions.

And they pay jockeys to ride like that - can't believe how some of them rode today.

    Congrats to the winner

Hi Dex won't be around for long just popped in to say hello and discuss the Arc. Hope you are well <ok>

tbh not surprised about the time when is the ground ever like that at Longchamp ? - and Masked Marvel broke the record when winning St Leger and looked awful there- I know its shorter but no excuse for finishing 2nd last waste of 100k. I am usually a fan of O'Brien and Ballydoyle but to run a Derby runner up, Irish Derby winner and a grade 1 winner in America as a pacemaker is beyond a joke what a farce

Lol a filly just broke the Track record for the Arc and blitzed a reasonable field. Danedream came into this race very much under the radar,i would hold off for a couple of runs before judging her.

As we let the dust settle on the Arc, just to let everyone know I am in the process of writing the first "In the Spotlight" thread as we begin to make the transition to the NH season, which will be posted either tonight or tomorrow morning.

I think she is of too stud now <ok> not 100% sure though. As mentioned above I don't see why people constantly go on about times because they constantly contradict themselves. Danedream was stunning but Harbinger was flukey when smashing the track record at Ascot and Workforce only beat the pacemaker in the derby - SAME SITUATION again. I prefer to forget times. I know for a fine fact that galikova, workforce, soyouthink, sarafina and a few others are better than the runner up today -weird race
