Afternoon all - bad news for Lethal Force backers - it's my only bet of the day! Good luck.

I'm pretty sure he hasn't got any Heis <laugh>

Da Sousa should stick to playing his Sousaphone, he can't place a horse for sure <steam>

I can't quite fathom how Garswood is as short as he is in the Sprint Cup. He's stepping down from 7f to 6f today and I think he's a horse who needs at least 7f. Watching his last race again, it took him a while to get motoring and he really ate the ground up in that last furlong. To my eye he'd be a horse to step up in trip rather than drop down. Watch him bolt in now...

I like Lethal Force but obviously ground concerns.

Another second for me (Clowance Estate). Just can't find a winner. Will go for Rex ew in the big sprint (Timeform convinced me). Would love Hoof It to win but I've given up on him.

I don't really have a strong opinion on Cunningham except to say that I'd really like to stab him in the throat...

No bet today...off to the pub.

J Murtagh again...class act but Lethal Force just not the same horse- can't just be the ground but probably effect of three tough group ones . Gordon deserved a big group 1 and must be a big fancy for Champions day if there's cut in the ground. Can Murtagh cap a fabulous season with the Arc , the ultimate Group 1- there's a strong possibility.

Gordon Lord Byron the most decisive winner of the Haydock Park Sprint Cup since the great Dayjur, the next time he clashes with Moonlight Cloud will be one to savour!

Just looked at the Irish Champion again - wouldn't you know it - another non-runner making just 7. I assume they won't pay 3 places even though there was 8 runners when I placed the bet?

    Thought not!

Apologies for putting the wrong course in my earlier post - the September Stakes was, of course, at Kempton not Lingfield. They should still have been running pattern races on the turf no matter which track! Next year they will be moving it to Good Friday and renaming it the April Stakes.

Never mind Cunningham: Rishi Persad has got to go. Despite the jockey Dale Swift telling Emma Spencer that Top Notch Tonto was his first group winner, he then states that he will have to go and find out if it was the jockey’s first group winner.

I was right to bypass Haydock today with the changed going; however, supporters of Garswood lost their money in the first fifty yards and Lethal Force faded away tamely inside the distance. Having gone one better than last year, I expect that Gordon Lord Byron will be heading to Longchamp to defend his Prix de la Forêt crown, possibly against Moonlight Cloud.

I agree with you, don't mind Mick Fitzgerald replacing John Francome on Channel 4 Racing but not Rishi replacing Alistair Down! I wish Gina presented The Morning Line earlier instead of Rishi!

Pat Smullen rates Free Eagle highly but is 4/11 for the 5.15 at Leopardstown, wonder what price he is for 2014 2,000 Guineas and Derby.
