STALL 15 WINS IT. People need to wake up and smell the coffee, if you're backing something drawn low in the Wokingham you need your head checking. NAP.
whoa, Krypton Factor 3rd. 28/1 . Was he third best horse in the race? No, but he was drawn high. SMELL THE ****ING COFFEE PEOPLE EVEN SOCIETY ROCK ENDED UP ON THIS SIDE. SMELL THE COFFEE
BBC really are a despicable company. Hardly any coverage of Ascot, now the main sporting headline is, royal ascot winner dies.
That is what I hate about sprinters – Lethal Force reversing the Duke Of York form with Society Rock on five pounds worse terms. Run the race another ten times and you will get ten different winners (from high draws GGW!).
The first time I went to RA I was on a 2yo of Dick Hern's called Rampage (Hern had already won the Coventry and this colt was supposed to be the best 2yo he had) in the Norfolk Stakes. He was up against a very fast colt in Deep Diver but looked comfortably coming to win his race. Suddenly at the furlong pole he just buckled up and died (heart attack). Hern walked down to the furlong pole with the owner after the race. It was very poignant and sad. When a horse dies we all lose, but it is no different to our lives. They don't die because of what they are doing, just as we don't die when we go for a run and keel over. If you are over 55 how many times have you heard that? It's just very sad. But we have to carry on.
Fallon knew where the best ground was and got the horse there. He never goes the early pace so the manoeuvre cost him nothing in my opinion!
You are right Hawkeye. BBC should hold its head in shame. On Thursday instead of reporting the victory of Estimate and the joy of the Queen, they majored on a netball game in Florida (BBC World).
It was a great decision by Fallon imho, though if he'd have been drawn next to the winner he'd have won.
Channel 4 discussed the manoeuvre Kieron made on Society Rock, Jim and Graham had a difference of opinion, some punters slated Kieron on Twitter but I don't think he did an awful lot wrong. Basically, Lethal Force got first run.
Anything can win this next race. I've gone with the high draw theory and previous course form, and have ended up with Elusivity and Regal Parade, both e/w, at decent prices.
