Hopefully KK is all OK - fingers crossed. Somersby had to go on really, after what happened last year, but Jacob looked very confident and just picked him off. I think MM idles in front, Somersby was closeing again at a respectable distance.
nice win there for MM, i thnk Somersby will be better over 3m and he would carry my cash over MM in the King George. The KG is really hotting up though, even at this early stage we have a potentially excellent race to look forward to
Agreed Odddy . Master Minded was giving Somersby 4lbs there as well which is impressive enough. I expect Nicholls was delighted to see Somersby run well as he beat Aiteenthirtythree first time out. I don't think Aiteenthirtythree was fully fit and wouldn't want to spoil Hennessy mark but still looks strong form as he certainly wasn't disgraced. 8s for next Sat looks nice
Hope KK is okay. Any news? As I said earlier- I was taking Master Minded today but Somersby for the King George. I thougt Somersby travelled much better here than in previous years and yet again, once Master Minded jumped past him late on, he rallied and stayed on again, and but for a por jump at the last, would been withn a length and a half IMO. Gives you decent value on him for the KG, which might be a cracker of a race all being well.
Going to have a little e/w dabble on Malcolm Jefferson's Cape Tribulation in the fixed brush hurdle - on reflection 150 could be an OK mark given his hurdles form and novice chase form (beaten 2L by Wayward Prince)
Somersby looks a little one paced for me Toppy - when he went on MM picked him up effortlessly and quickened past him again. As I said above I think MM idled in front. HOWEVER I don't think I would back MM in the King George - a very truly run 3 miles is beyond his stamina IMHO
Why do you think it's not right that Jacob put overweight on MM? I dont see the problem with that, of course i would get your point if he was underweight but not overweight.
