Just seen a replay of the Hennessy and Diamond Harry was seriously impressive. He might not have won by far but he was hard on the steel coming to the last. He jumped it a little awkwardly and was then just kept up to his work to be a comfortable winner. Write him off at your peril. Never really captured my imagination but today just might be his day. With 3 places I'd definitely be backing him. With just the two I'm not convinced it's worth it. Long Run is so weak that it's worrying. 5/4 freely available now.
All weather selections from me today at Lingfield, in the 1.15 im going for the very well handicapped BUXTON 15/2, who has only ever dropped into this company twice on both occasions resulting in wins one on the turf and the other over C&D off a mark of 65, which is 3lb higher than he runs off today. In the 1.50 LASTKINGOFSCOTLAND looks a very nice bet and is anothe rthat his very well weighted, especiallly so that he indicated LTO that he was close to gettting back to winning ways, with 7lb claimer back on board again today could be his day and is a nice price at 6/1. In the 2.25 CHEVISE at 8/1 is another who makes the grade when it comes to ratings, LTO on the AW he looked like he would be winning soon when he finally got out of trouble and ran on strongly to be beaten by two nice types by 1 1/2L. Now for my Bet 365 4/1+ offer which runs over from my success on the 5.35 last night, the race is the 2.10 Ascot and to be honest is a tricky affair with very little value on offer, however, im going to stick with MEDERMIT 9/2 who looked impressive LTO when winning well and should at least give me a run for my money.
