Stick - ref the bumper at Ascot, Tizzard's Royal Guardsman is another one who wasn't too far behind Sir Johnson last time out. That got me thinking about Sir Johnson - has Bowen said he won't be sending him to Cheltenham? He's in some books but not all, at around 20/1. Not often a horse runs up a 4-timer in bumpers is it?

No it's very rare Oddy but to temper any statistics you have to factor in that most dont even run in four bumpers!
After a couple of bumper runs most are off on their hurdling careers.

Todays Ascot bumper always throws up a couple of decent horses so its race that everyone should watch with their notebooks handy.

Sticky: Good old Tullamore Dew to do the business again hopefully.

Ruben Cotter could go well in the 210 Hay at a very nice EW price indeed.

Giles Cross loves this ground and must take the beating in the 320 Hay

NAP of the day is an EW punt on As De Fer in the 355 Hay

Be lucky all and hopefully my footy team makes it through to the semis of the local Cup :)

    Oh and RV, just the one more to prove how hard I have been working lately;

NOVAROV 9-1 4.25 Gowran who I think was an unlucky loser last time and is still well handicapped.

Yes I have even been looking at the cuddys....LOL

for those pricewise followers. most of the big bookies go the advised price, that's not the price at midnight as they've already been cut by then, but the price in the racing post table, for a short period online in the morning. so for instance I hot 14s sona sasta at b365 at 8.35 this morning even though he was 8 overnight. its usually from 8.30 for about 10 minutes.

Yes Gary, he has run well a few times and is due a change of luck.
I heard from an owner this morning that the Honeyball yard really fancy As De Fer but they gave me a right bum steer on the jumper bumper last week so reluctant to pass it on.

Talking owners, My pal who owns BOUGGLER says he is back doing road walking and they are very happy with his recovery. Expect to see him back on the track in the autumn.

    Hello lads.

One for me today,so far,Harpsy Cord in the 1.35 at Gowran.

Expensive and well bred maiden hurdle winner who ran a lovely race behind the useful Soll at DR LTO (holds Awkward Moment on that run). That was over 20f and todays slightly shorther trip should suit. His jumping was impeccable and that will be an asset around Gowran's stiff fences.Todays better ground will also help.

He is with the right trainer who is bringing him along slowly and not overfacing him and it will disappointing if he doesn't go in today.Andrew Lynch on top further strengthens his claims.

7/4 may seem short in Novive chase for some but I believe it's still good value.

    GL all.

    Good-day all :)

I've deserted Sona Sasta after doing me dough last twice, in favour of Fredo, who I think will relish this and hopefully finally get his head in front where it matters.

I'll be going NAP on Real Milan in the 2-10 at Haydock although this is ultra competitive and you could pick 5 and still miss the winner.

Good luck to all who play today <ok>
