What do you mean as bad as SNA - you are talking about the Arc winner there Nassau - might not even win tmz as only 4 runner race and wants a good gallop but he will be back
There must be some statistic out there which shows if you back all of AOBs runners with SP greater that 10/1 and lay all his runners shorter than 4/5 you would be stinking rich
Look lads pub boy is giving it the big one because he won the ATR comp now FO you jammy sod OOOO PUB FRIENDS
3.10 Doncaster- After a massive, massive consideration: MASKED MARVEL 7/1 (NAP)- John Gosden sounds very optimistic about this horses chances, and there are various reasons I have eventually ended up siding with him. Firstly, he has the speed as well as stamina to really worry Sea Moon, who did not face anyone with the speed in the Great Voltigeur. It's important because possessing speed enables you to get into positions in staying races that give you a chance of winning, which I think has cost Seville numerous times this season after staying on but not having the gears to get in front. You also have to remember Masked Marvel was left in the Derby over NATHANIEL, and although ground concerns were an issue, it is clear Buick and Gosden thought a lot of this fella and even now Buick insists that being carried wide by the outsider in the Derby completely messed up his race. I intitially felt he had the run of the race at Newbury against Census, but having re-watched and studied, Masked Marvel did exceptionally well after wandering around a little bit in front to hold off the late charge. I feel there is a lot more to come and off a genuine pace his speed will really come to the fore. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What a performance that was. I've got to give a huge shout out to GDC today- We were having a discussion about the Leger in a private message and I explained I was worried that Masked Marvel had the run of the race LTO, but he begged to differ and explained what Gosden felt- that he was looking around and had a fair bit left in the tank that day. That prompted me to do a massive form study and I rewatched the race to reconsider my Leger betting, and also took into consideration how unlucky he was in the Derby when carried miles wide and hampered by a no hoper, and all of a sudden, it clicked that Gosden genuinely thought a great deal of him and Nathaniel, and really it was telling that they were soon swapped around in terms of who would go to the St Leger. Gosden was very honest about his chances and looks like he made an excellent choice by keeping him fresh for this. What a year for him and Buick.
