Aye and the lad up top. You dont get a ride for that yard unless you're 'arf decent. Or your dad owns the horse. One of the two.
Backed Ely Brown at Haydock - won a class 2 on soft at Aintree with 1 lb overweight last time so raised just the 5lbs for that and dropped in class
Lovely stuff Ulck Du Lin Tell you what - I respectfully doff my cap to every horse and jockey out there today - tons of bravery displayed in absolutely appalling conditions.
Bloody hell im on to something in the league comp, cool sky at 2s and ulck du lin now with 2 to run nice one oddy
Well done oddy. Ruby was brilliant on Ulck Du Lin again, I was worried about the ground for him, but he is getting stronger by the race from the look of that. Not a bad day but kicking myself over the Ladbroke, after I backed the winner last time out and complained bitterly about the ride he got that day. Left him today and he sluices up.
That's racing Nass. I was lucky again today - the 3 horses I decided to lump on (Reve De Sivola, Desert Cry and Ulck Du Lin) all won and the fiver and tenner bets all lost. I seem to have developed a knack for that in the last few weeks. My bookie charged me €0.50 for withdrawing €300 from my account this evening because I have done too many withdrawals in the last 30 days
A glut of winners today well done all. Happy Birthday Stick. A fraction better than break even day for me...frustrating.
Me too Ardent...score e/w on Picansort at 6's just about won me the price of a pint! Couldn't bring myself to back 'owt over jumps on that ground even though the results were reasonable. Quite interested in Like-a-Butterfly's daughter tomorrow at Thurles.
Just looking in to wish you a happy birthday, Stick, and to congratulate you on what looks to have been a stellar week of selections. And to everyone else, particularly those dog-eared and battered remnants of BBC606, a happy Christmas, prosperous New Year, and long life and happiness. (Oddy: if Barber's Shop ever runs again, I've created, polished and preserved a v.funny joke for which you can have the German publication rights).
Rainer all the very best to you - merry christmas and a happy and prosperous new year chock full of winners
Happy Birthday stick - and hope the rest of you have a great Christmas. Once again i want to thank those posters who contributed to my sponsorship for a walk in september - I raised close on £700 for NSPCC so many thanks indeed chaps and chappesses Have fun everyone
Nah, just backing in singles today Ron, but my 3 "lump-ons" all won (Reve De Sivola, Desert Cry, Ulck Du Lin) so nice profit. For some reason I didn't have Ulck Du Lin in the comp though - went for bigger prices.
Many thanks for all the messages today guys. Thanks for looking in Rainer ;-) Suffice to say I had a brilliant day. I was confident Cannington brook had won, saw the still later, golly it was close! What a run too from Dan Breen in the big race, he gave me a real buzz (unlike Balder Stinker). Well done to all the winners today. A merry Christmas to you all. I hope you all have a wonderful stress free holiday. See you on Long Run Day.
