Afternoon, people. Once again then, I see, without my calming influence on the board old anarchy broke out again at the weekend. ‘Calm down dears’! Nothing for me today and I note that Barbers Shop has been taken out of the ‘hunters heat’ at Folkestone tomorrow. Don’t fret though people as he has multiple entries over the course of the rest of the week and his reappearance is imminent, and I do mean imminent. In fact its possible that he and dear old Binocular could both end up at Kelso on Wednesday!
Hello lads. Nothing for me today...watching The Time Machine on C4. Time is something I currently have plenty of but still did my shopping on line earlier...too ******g lazy to go to the supermarket! GL all.
Oddy, in the local media a few weeks ago (I think I put in on here) Alan King got rather irritate when asked where Hold On Julio was going to run next and what his big targets were and he responded to the question ‘How far will Hold On Julio stay?’ by responding ‘As far as I train him to!’ I’ve heard him linked to the Scottish National later in the term but I think that more conjecture than actual fact. However, I don’t know if he’s ideal for the ‘William Hill Handicap Chase’ at the Festival. His rating would be higher than all of the winners within the past decade.
Afternoon guys, hows the egos today? A decent AW card at Wolverhampton today, hopefully a few winners will be forthcoming, but the one i really, really, really like runs in the 2.40 GOOD TIMIN 3/1 (NAP), i was on LTO when he stormed home close home albeit the winner that day SILVER LINNET was easing down. He is 6lbs better off today and young Phillip Makin should make the difference.
redcgull, commiserations over Liverpool. I think I know how you feel. I could never get football out of my system- it's too much part of my upbringing and heritage- but what I see today saddens me... A weak FA and FIFA who refuse to do anything about the real problems on the pitch ie. shirt pulling, drogbaesque drama queens, rolling over, feigning injury, weak refereeing, subs in extra time. The media are now controlling the game- Sepp Blatter is just an anachronistic and idiotic figurehead. As for the Suarez/Evra incident. Yes, Suarez was wrong in his original outburst (and he should have shaken hands), but what a mountain has grown out of a molehill! Didn't he call Evra a "negrita?" Isn't that the equivalent of calling him a black man or "blackie?" If a black player had called a white player "whitey," where would that have led? Nowhere probably! Why can't two players deal themselves with verbal onslaughts towards each other. We had to do that as kids-we didn't go running to daddy, let alone fuel the media. How sick has society become? If a person doesn't believe in integrated multi-culturism/mixed religions - and there's hundreds of years of history and dead bodies to offer as argument, then he becomes reviled and branded as a racist. How pathetic to have have such political correctness and live in fear. Now I feel almost sorry for Suarez- and more so for Liverpool F.C. So, redcgull, put it all behind you. You have my genuine sympathy. Smile!
Barney, he is only a 1lb higher than Bensalem was last year and 2lb higher than both Chief Dan George and Wichita Lineman, he therefore surely is perfectly entitled to be looked as being in the right range of the handicap?
Current OR 144 Sir Barney - just a pound higher than Bensalem last year Is this "Racing Plus Chase" at Kempton the old Racing Post Chase? If so, it has to be one of the more pointless name changes
Tam for President Rumour has it (for we have nothing else to go on) that Evra told Suarez he was going to f*** his sister's c***". Easy to say he should have just igneored it and got on with the game but so should Zidane in the World Cup Final. I love it how Ferdiand talks about respect ................... Mr Evra lost most people's respect after he and his fellow players publibly himiliated the whole of the French nation at the last world cup.
Tam the term "negrito" means literally little negro and is in common use in the Latin vernacular.I have heard it many times,in reference to a waiter in a restaurant for example...also prominently used in Latin TV shows. I have never seen anyone take offence but this is Britain and obviously such terminology is not acceptable, even though Jeremy Clarksons Sunday Times column is considerably more racist, also Rod Liddle. It's a funny old game,on and off the pitch.
Nass/Oddy, Hold On Julio would still be a recent record breaker though if he obliges in that ‘William Hill’ race. He wouldn’t be breaking the old barier by much though I admit! ‘Racing +’ is a rival publication to the ‘Racing Post’. Never bought a copy but is only published at weekends, I believe.
Agree Oddy. Evra is a thoroughly odious little creature...lets also not forget the punch up he started after the match at Stamford Bridge three seasons ago with the ground staff.Thankfully it didn't end too well for the diminutive frog who copped a bunch of fives! Also amazing to hear Ferguson call Suarez a disgrace to his club...didn't the bold "sir" alec call a reporter a "..stupid c**t at a press conference. Classy guy.
So after looking at the Wolvers card here are my dodgers... 2.40 - Silver Linnet 3.10 - Hinton Admiral 3.40 - Stars In Your Eyes 4.10 - Availed Speaker 4.40 - Dubai Bounty 5.10 - Luctor Emergo 5.40 - Crocodile Bay Good luck if you play today...
Tam only problem is, 'ladies of the night' have class and standards, unlike the general football glitterati
Oddy, agreed PS. If you post me an E-Mail on my profile, I'll mail you a true and relevant story about a Munich night club. You'll love it but it's too raunchy to put on here! PPS Apologies for wrong name in original comment. I should be Suarez, not Aguero. Old age!
