Swanny, he was on 171 before Saturday but this should come down a few pounds and if Tidal Bay goes as well (or if Mr Henderson’s horse falls even lower in the handicap) then Long Run may not even be top weight. The handicapper does though these days seemingly compress the weights at the top of the handicap in the GN and has in the past few years really gone out of his way to try to attract, with comparatively lenient treatment, the classy 160+ rated horses to the race. I really don’t think it would be a case of Long Run giving stacks and stacks of weight to each and every other runner.
Not the way that was meant to go! Bet that was alot of trebles and doubles out the window! Including mine thats me done for the day lol
Supreme Novices' market in a bit of a Flummox with a capital ‘F’. West Wizard has had his odds lengthened by 150%. Let’s hope the vet is back ‘in situ’ by March. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more...
Well done Bob! Say, I took another look at that big race on Saturday, you know, I don't think Joe Tizzard touched him with the whip. Am totally biased of course, but that really was an outstanding performance by the winner. Some bloody good horses behind him.
Baby Mix looks a bit of a Nacarat! He'll pop up in a 3m chase one day with that rythmical jumping, but get beat at the stiffer tracks and shorter trips!
Poet in the 1540 and the monster gamble on Exceed Expectations at 4pm, still time for it to be a non runner though!!! ;-)
Two decent bets to be had late on the Wolverhampton card. 4.30 Tyrsal Ran a better race than its bare position at Kempton and if overcoming the wide draw will take this race, only being trapped wide will stop it. 5.00 Columbian Roulette This horse is on a very lenient mark and I cannot see him being beaten. The handicapper knows nothing about him really whilst all most of the others have shown their hand so to speak. This Is a perfect opportunity for the horse today. If these oblige a solightly less confident selection is Montjess in the last. Good luck all
