People, imagine the reaction if Long Run trots up! I don’t think there are 3 more popular figures in racing than the 2 Mr Waley-Cohen’s and the sports shining star, Mr Henderson.

Perfect Gentlemen with capital 'P's' and 'G's' all three.

Nass would you worry about the ground for Tidal Bay? Seems much more effective on juicy ground

Who knows what will happen with the ground before the big day. I don't think the ground will matter too much to him, if its soft then its a slog which will suit, but if its gd-sft or better they will go quicker and that might play into his strengths of coming from off the pace too. He has always gone on differing surfaces and I don't see too much of an issue for him. I actually think he is possibly better with soft or better ground, but his run in the Welsh National was superb on poor ground.

Sadly, I think the weight, his old legs and the course will be too much for him.

I think he might well finish in the picture, however I think this years renewal might be stronger than the last couple and I do think the handicapper has given Teaforthree a right chance, whilst Triolo D'Alene ran a stormer in the Gold Cup before being mullered at the second last.

Katja looks a good bet and has been backed in since last night also alhaban looks nice odds and may be worth a look at the place market , alhaban has been well nibbled at since opening
good luck all

Rubbish with a capital 'R'. HM The Queen is the most popular owner in horse racing. Trainer? Take your pick............

Should add that one of my favourite owners is Prince Khalid bin Abdullah. Quiet and unassuming, modest, he has given so much to horseracing in Europe. Good guy.

I thought it was John Hales and Ann Stokell respectively.

No, no, no, old boy. Her Majesty, God bless her and save her, slots in at number 4 on the rankings. Behind the elder of the Mr Waley-Cohen’s, old boy Mr Ponsonby and Sir Simon Cowell.

Lol - Sir Cowell..... Unfortunately Im really starting to feel that the flat racing is on its way back and with the Lincoln next weekend and the crap sand racing this Saturday...its starting to hit home. Oh what joy!
In respect of the Grand National - Teaforthree is really gonna run a monster of a race... just cant see it out the first 5 so thats one place gone on that all important pay out. Cant be having Tidal Bay or Long Run myselg as not convinced they will take to it but it is a very open race. I do like The Package down at the bottom as he ran an eye catching race at Cheltenham and I remember I was going to back him a few years back but he pulled out injured.
I have a sneaky feeling for Colbert Station who could return to form. Its quite possible AP McCoy will pick the wrong one and opt for the other McManus nag Double Seven. We know thats happened before.... Big Shu looks a good jumper of a fence and we know he stays... If Carberry rides him he will have an outstanding chance and is currently 33/1.

Best (part) owner: The Don
Best trainer: Charlie Boy

Cant believe all this queen / JM / Waley Cohen rubbish

<doh> Her Majesty doesn't even get place money? She could have used her sword to better advantage with that Cowell fellow? (Erm, is he a 'Sir'? Bit out of touch with these things).
