Happy birthday Toppy! Hope you have a good one mate.

Saw she was running last night but RP reported it was good to soft so completely discounted her as she needs at minimum good ground. With ground good I can definitely see where your coming from. She has tremendous early speed and if Charles Bishop is at his best tactically she may be able to steal the race from the front. No bet for me as I think the fact soft was in the description last night and the chance of showers later on that their may be a little too much give in the ground. Ideally she wants it to as firm as a road.

Have a good one TC. I trust you're moderately well oiled by now!

James Armstorng's just tweeted this about the Newcastle inspection: Going: HEAVY- Unraceable at present however improving conditions in a dry, warm stiff wind. INSPECTION 8am SAT.

This Chester maiden looks interesting. The fav is really short but has the plum draw and Sir Mark won this last year.

For each way value i'd back Singapura each way at 9/2 but the draw is not the best. The race she competed in on debut was won by Newfangled so it was a good race and her finishing position probably hides the quality of the performance.

So between the three of us we have the front three in the market. Surely we have the winner between us?

There are two horses i am interested in at Newmarket in the upcoming 6.30, the first is Summer Dream who was 3rd behind the very impressive and thought to be John Gosdens best 2yr old Newfangled. There are unraced horses in this field but i would be surprised if there is a Newfangled amongst them.

The second is a speculative bet on Invincible Cara of John Dunlops. This horse is very well bred and a half sister to Elusive Pimpernel whchi if i remember correctly was quite able to act with give in the ground. I think at a price of 33-1 he could be interesting each way.

    Newmarket 6.30
    Summer Dream 5-1 win
    Invincible Cara 33-1 EW
