I text NASS last night asking him what he thought of BAY CENTRAL back over hurdles, his response = "looked at this earlier, he looks on a good mark and Hereford run looks fair in comparison to this. Aim to make all I guess. RIDDLESTOWN interested me, last run was promising to a point". So for the second day running you have put up a horse that NASS had already told me he fancied. Are you bugging our phones? PS; what do you make of the Carroll gamble in the first at Sandown (on at 16's but only following the money)
Plenty of money for the Pipe runner in the bumper at Sandown - think he was around the 3/1 mark this morning but now into 7/4 fav, whereas the Nicholls horse has drifted in exactly the opposite direction
Haha you got me. Watch back Riddlestown's hurdling debut. Shaped with a load of promise. With regards Carroll, I was actually drawn to his other runner whose been off a long time but form who Harry Derhams booking on what is his only ride of the day/first tide for trainer looked very interesting considering he'd surely have had the choice of a few rides. Looking specifically at Walden Prince, on Irish form he'd have a chance but I don't think he's thrown in or anything like that.
Quick one, anyone got views on Takeroc today? I know he is a monkey of the highest order, but is he rather overpriced?
Big chance at the weights over a course and trip that suits him well. If its good rather than soft he has a very good chance in a weakish looking race.
Racing Post quoting "good, good to soft in places" on the chase course. I have had a dabble at 16s. I was expecting him to be tens, and field size is perfect (cue NR to come)
Much improved effort by the old rogue, even stuck his head out and found something for pressure. Nice enough start to the afternoon.
This is a bloody awful race.....why oh why have I had two bets in it.......must be mad, could pick eight or nine and not get the winner!
Place money will do grand. There is definitely a race in this fella. If I see a tongue tie go on (which would indicate a breathing problem) I'd be all over it.
