Bloody hell Oddy. I've had a right old ding dong with Shergs about the Arkle and support Peddlers Cross but you've got to give credit where credit is due and that was superb.
Very impressive SS after pulling so hard. Really hard to pick holes in that performance,even if you hold an AF or PC antepost voucher.
I'm on RP text only in the office Quel so couldn't judge the race .................. sounds like he was very impressive though and if that's true about the track record then I'm converted. I was sceptical about his previous performances as the times weren't great ...................
Don't think the opposition was great but couldn't really have won any easier,really impressed me with how clever the horse was with it's jumping.
He broke the course record that's stood for 20 years in 2nd gear. They may aswell go for the Champion Chase, he will slaughter Sizing Europe
Sprinter Sacre was so impressive, he just jumps for fun and has a brilliant engine. I would love to see him go for the QMCC, he has the engine to win such a race.
Sprinter Sacre was very impressive in the Game Spirit despite racing freely - maybe he should go for the Queen Mother and not the Arkle, but Sizing Europe will be a tough nut to crack. I'm prepared to oppose Zarkandar in the Totesport Gold Trophy as he'll need the run. Would much rather back Colour Squadron in the 1.50, he should've won the Tolworth.
Shergs- I'm not going to get in a debate about it but the CC is Sizings this year. As impressive as that was, it wasn't at Cheltenham
I don't see the need to go for CC yet when he can go for the Arkle and then run in the next 3 or 4 Champion Chases ?
