Nass <ok> is he a bet for you at 7/2 ?

I can't have Hold Fast today - I don't rate the horse tbh. If Sprintre Sacre is to get beat today it will be his lack of experience that catches him out and the only horse I can see taking advantage is French Opera - he is a class act on his day and if he is fully fit I would expect him to serve it up to Sprintre Sacre, will be interesting to see what he will find off the bridle if they do get in to a scrap

morning folks. nice of the bha to arrange this Friday lunchtime festival for us desk drones.

I'm on get me out of here and desert cry, both a bit overpriced I think and will like the fast pace. if you look at the previous winners of the race its not been won by many top class horses. brilliant race tho.

backed tidal bay last night so pleased to get the pw nod.

also be keeping a very close eye on Carruthers' half brother Coneygree in that scalding hot bumper.

o and zenyatta I'm about to follow you on twitter so keep it pithy please.

    good luck all

RV, I must say today its been very hard not to have about a dozen bets and all in multiples. However, I have managed to keep the wallet in the pocket for the most part and the money is safe for the pub visit this evening.

So you all can lump on anything I have mentioned bar Hold Fast and Zarkandar.

Good morning all... And so to the day that never was, bloody weather, has finally come round and what a day of racing we shall have...!!! It just seems that its looking like a favs day today and its going to take a big mistake to alter the betting guide.

SS is at 8/15 next best 5/1 - Sprinter Sacre to win...
LR is at 8/15 next best 6/1 - Long Run to win...
Zar is at 3/1 next best is 9/1 - Zarkandar to win...

The next 3 races are a little more competitive in the market but i still like the chances of the leading players as in Colour Squadron, 5/2... Gullinbursti, 11/4... and Walkon, 10/3.

It cant just be a day for the favs can it...?? Maybe it will and if only Zarkandar comes in for me i will be happy. Only because ive backed it heavily...!!!

Not really looked elsewhere but i will have to do to take my mind away from the anticipation of the 1st race at 12.10...!!! Jeez, not long to go now...

Good luck to all roday, should be a great days racing...<cheers>

I see Mr Needle is taking the urine again, Binocular now runs at Wincanton. Grandouet picked up a minor niggle apparently.

A fantastic day's racing for refining our Cheltenham opinion that little bit more and also for a wager or two. I have got to believe that Zarkander is fit and ready enough to win today with Cheltenham so close and so will be backing him as my main Newbury bet. I wanted to post up two from Sandown however which look good also

    Sandown
    2.10 Loch Ba 11-2
This horse has yet to win this season but has run well in some very decent races, he's lack of getting his head in front thus far leaves him on a handy mark, so although there are some good rivals today once again, he is getting weight off of everything with Dominic Elsworth doing 10-5.

    4.25 Parsnip Pete 5-1
This horse has run with credit both starts this year, his first race back was in a very decent race at Cheltenham won by Darlan. The key today is he is being stepped up in trip and i think he needs that as has been lacking a little speed at the end of 2m despite travelling well.

They are not as obvious nor as likely as some of the big guns over at Newbury but i feel they are 2 good bets at reasonable prices, Good luck all, wherever your money is going today.

Very good 12 minute chat between Paul Nicholls and some pundits on the eve of Cheltenham last year. Gives you a really good background on Zarkandar, for those of you who would like to know the way he developed last season. <ok>

Just watched this Topclass - Thanks for posting this, good chat and a some good pointers...<cheers>

Lads great day today and i've taken the day off to watch it all.

Backed the Lavelle pair last night Gullinbursti and Off The Ground 9/2 and 11/2 bog in singles and each way double.

Also had a really good go at the Long Run, Sprinter Sacre and Gullinbursti trixie at 4/7, 4/7 and 9/2.

He said something stupid yesterday RV but I let it go. Typical WUM who wants to spark controversy. He may have winners and his lays may come good but to describe one of the quickest 3 mile chasers we have ever seen as slow is idiotic!
