Chaninbar runs (refuses to race more like!) in the next at Wolverhampton.

Will he come out of the boxes?...he is the archetypal old dog.

Interesting to see Andrew Tinkler (Stobart Director, not jock) having runners trained in Ireland tonight.

Tommy Carmody is listed as training them and they will be his first runners as a trainer for quite some time.

I assume it's the same Tommy Carmody who was stable jockey to the Dickinsons many years ago and rode Silver Buck,I'm A Driver amongst others...anyone know anything about this arrangement?...looks like TC is a retained trainer for Tinkler who is obviously spreading/relocating his operation.

Back from Newbury. Terrible journey, took 1hr30 to get to within 5 miles of the course and then over 2hrs to get from there to the course. As a result I missed the 3 ****ing races I went to see. ****!!

Couple of questions, from where I was standing Colour Squadron looked an easier winner before falling?? However, Montbazon has shorterend for the Suprere while CS has drifted/not moved. How did it look on the TV? Luckily I had pretty much my whole dough for the day on For Non Stop so if I can face any more time in a car that might pay for Ascot tomorrow!! Really want to see the first 3 races now <laugh>

I only watched the 1st 2 george, SS looked very good indeed never got out of 2nd gear,

Long Run jumped unusually well! cant really fault him for that, but got pushed right to the line by Burton Port! But we now have 5/2 JF for the GC

I am still confident he will regain his crown!

Long Run has drifted out after todays effort, which has suprised me. The form reads well to me, 10 pounds is alot to concede. We obviously don't know for sure about Burton Port, but What A Friend in 3rd is a decent horse, and was only beaten 11 lenghs in the Gold Cup. WAF also seems to improve on decent ground, as his best efforts have come in the spring, and going by the track records set today, the ground must have been to his liking.

I don't see any reason to be put off by Burton Port getting so close, afterall he was 2nd in an RSA, and was unlucky in a Hennessy, when coming 2nd:biggrin:

Just logged on at home from work today - and some cracking winners today !!! Thanks stick for the winner at Sandown - already in profit but that 7/1 winner by a neck topped it off brilliantly for a great today !!! Off to Ascot tomorrow so any winners from Wolves tonight would be much obliged fellas.

**** sake what a days racing.

Just got in from a hectic day ato work, feet up, watched thereplays, and BOOOOM landed the 8/1 treble on Long Run, Sprinter Sacre, and Zarkandar.

How on Gods earth did Zarkandar win?! Say what you like about him, he's got a seriously good attitude. I fear the Fly will cruise past him though.

Burton Port- what a run in 2nd. Long Run just totally unconvincing but credit to SWC where it is due- he asked the horse for a biggy at the last and he got one. But Burton Port ran a cracker with Barry G.

Sprinter Sacre- goodness me he looks a serious chaser.

I was so, so impressed again, but I did think to myself even though he looks like theres tonnes left in reserve, I think if he keeps racing too keenly he might allow himself into a scrap at Cheltenham.

Leg 1 of my AP Quad up- Zarkandar Betfair (Won 11/4), Simonsig Supreme Novice (8/1), Sprinter Sacre Arkle (9/4), Hurricane Fly Champ Hurdle (8/11).

Hoping Simonsig keeps the dream alive.

I must say the way Sprinter Sacre made horses like French Opera who in his own right is a good horse look second rate was mightly impressive, His jumping is up there with the best I've ever seen from a novice he absolutely pings his fences and lands foot perfect, He's very clever at his fences I must say. Cheltenham is a different ball game all together though, He may be a different horse over fences around Prestbury and that is likely to be true if he can replicate anything as good as he did today at Cheltenham then I think its fair to say We have a potential great on our hands...

To beat the track record at Newbury over 2m1f in 2nd gear on good to softish ground as a novice says it all!

I agree there Istabraq. Sometimes you have to take a step back and change opinions- I didnt understand what people meant last year when they said this horse was built for chasing- I do now.

Only one more thing to do to silence the doubters, and that is win at Cheltenham.

    Haha. Okay mate.

You'd have been strumming yourself off had they have lost and your now apparant 'joke' lay bets have been landed.

But if it is actually stupidity and wind-ups you want, there are plenty of other places to find.

If you convince yourself you can be perfect at this game, you'll go badly wrong. Nothing wrong with being wrong in racing (we all are)- just accept it and don't BS people.

So if you want a genuine chat about horse racing on a very good forum- may I be the first to welcome you <ok>

Lavelle yard (good day today) strongly fancy TIM THE CHAIR 3-1 Wincanton 4.20 they think he isnt overburdened, is still improving and with Conor Quish taking 10lbs of his back he is a bit of a good thing. EASTER METEOR 3.10 is also considered winning material. May well be a very good day for the yard as over at Ascot Tocca Ferro's full brother THE LAST NIGHT 8-1 1.10 is expected to run a really big race. He was slightly dissapointing when third to Ile De Re on his debut but has come on a bundle since that race. Has it all to do to beat the Festival bound KEYS but they think he will go very close. Rates knocking each way value at the price.

I of course will be on one of my favourites SWINCOMBE FLAME who I hope wins here on the way to the Coral Cup!

Burnley have the third best away form in the Championship, Stick. Though I do think Reading have won the last 4 meetings between the clubs if I remember correctly.

I can't decided what to do regarding that game, though better make my mind up soon.
