  8. Been finding it difficult putting any selections up the last few days for numerous reasons, but primarily because of the poor racing on offer. Today there are a number races that take the eye and I will attempt to get back into the swing of things with a few winners or my regular big priced EW shouts:

In the 3.40 Newbury there are a couple that i fancy and all have good cases to win this race, however, for my selection I am going to plump for the Richard Hannon trained NORTH STAR BOY who having putting in a couple of credible performances in Group Company drops down to listed class and with Richard Hughes back in the saddle at massive odds of 10/1 he is a very attractive EW propostion.

4.15 Newbury sticking with Richard Hannon here who has no fewer than three runners in the race all of which ar ein with a shout, however, the fact that Richard Hughes takes the ride on NEW RIVER who may just have needed her two races this season but in both she has looked very progressive when staying on. First time out in Handicap Company she is off a very nice mark and is pitched against other fillies, if she has come on for her first two outings she will take all of the beating here today at odds of 5/1 she gets my vote.

4.45 Newbury a difficult race to pick, however, i am drawn to the very well handicapped OUR PICADILLY 7/2 who was unlucky LTO not to pinch it on the line when running and beaten a SH by TITUS GENT, a big negative is the draw but if she gets a clear run and stays on a straight line she should take all of beating, biggest danger for me is the top weight EVEN BOLDER.

5.20 Newbury BIKINI BABE 20/1 runs off a very attractive rating and drops back in class having been racing and competing in Class 1 Listed Company, her only effort at this level to date resulted in her finsihing 3rd behind DANDINO and ICON DREAM and runs here today 11lb better of than that race, I will be having a tentative EW dabble.

Going to have to against you Bustino with another debutant in the 6.20 Newmarket. Although Frogonard looks to be excellently bred, I have been following the Stallion Hard Spun and will continue to follow him as he seems to be producing some decent offspring. 4 off his have been out so far in 8 races and boast a very impressive 5 wins and 1 place in these runs so far to date, including Red Duke winning a Group 2 LTO. Kunooz 16/1 is the progeny today and looks very nicely bred."dam top-class in Argentina, won 1m2f Gr1 at 3, also Gr2-placed over 1m4f, half-sister to Argentinean Gr3-winning miler Persane". Looks second choice on jockey booking but that wouldn't concern me as Frankie was always going to go for the 1 with experience

  12. In the 2.30 Newbury im going for DRUMMOND 25/1 who was a fast finishing 5th on his debut with some very useful types in front of him when only beaten by 5l, should be better for that race and at odds of 25/1 is worth an EW bet.

3.05 Newbury JUNGLE BEAT 11/4 BOG - This one looks the part on paper and I don't think that this maiden will take much winning at all. Coral go a stand out 11/4 for this horse representing top connections

It seems Jungle Beat and Rugged Cross both have Derby ambitions. They'd have to go well here.
