    Some thoughts from me today

St Nicholas Abbey and So You Think win double looks a cracking bet over in Dubai.

Back here in Britain I like Mia's Boy in the Lincoln, The Checka or Bannock in The Cammidge, Snow Bay in the Spring Mile and a speculative nod goes to My Boy Bill in the Brocklesby who is out of the same mare as Pentinent and could be a nice early type.

    15:55 Stratford - Dreambrook Lady e/w

(Progressive mare who could run well in this. Trainer Jeremy Scott does OK with his female runners, remember the smart performer Dovedale? 12/1 generally available at present so e/w probably best. Jockey Tom O'Brien in good form at present).

Cocozza for me in the Lincoln. Really rate his new trainer and although there is a danger he is a morning glory horse this could be his day.

    Alright all,

Been following this horse for a while and ...Alben Star can win again in the 4:05 at Kempton
Whilst Arctic Cosmos & Bartolomeu can provide me with a quick, early, short priced double in 1st two races at Kempton.

Over at Meydan African Story & Cirrus Des Aigles can go well, was very impressed with the latter at Champions Day last year and a recent run should have him spot on for this. Whilst Mendip will be having some of my money as I've followed him ever since I tipped him up on his all weather debut at Kempton a few years ago and now he's in the richest race in the world. <laugh>

    Over at Doncaster:
I like Mont Ras in the Spring Mile won on reappearance last year decent trainer drawn in stall where they can follow the pace whichever side takes off decent bet e/w @ 9/1.
In the 2:40 at Doncaster im going to take a chance on Mayson ran in some decent sprint races last year including when narrowly being a neck by Sirius Prospect, whom didnt perform well upon his reappearance last year. Mayson e/w @ 8/1 good enough for me.
Start Right in the William Hill Lincoln is an interesting runner for the Godolphin operation. Has ran well in all his races over a mile. He is typically a hold up horse and in this big field may well need some luck in running, fitted with a vidor for the first time today hopefully he can work his way through and put his head in front 14/1 ew for me.

    Good Luck all <cheers>

Oh right. can guess why it went into 5's then. Seems to be happening an awful lot lately. Think about 3 notable non gambles this week!

Shame about Prince De Beauchene because this seemed to be his chance. He was running off 143 and yet his mark is now 155. He won't be so well treated again.

This narrows my shortlist down to Cappa Bleu, Sunnyhillboy and Becauseicouldntsee. I am thinking about dropping the middle one because I'm worried about his ability to handle the fences (and because I didn't back him at 40s despite strongly considering it). Am very keen on the other two though.

My NAP for today is a win bet and a place lay on Fury in the Lincoln. I think he is either going to piss up or finish last, and I doubt there will be much in between. I'll be doing the place lay to cover my win stake. I do think he has a cracking chance though. If Haggas has worked his magic then I'm quite sure that he's much better than 98.

Word of warning today guys, from a source Richard Fahey has said that his stable aint 100% and his runners may not be at their best yet, that aside its interesting to see PH go to Kempton, i would suggest that this is to ride his new owners EshitIBAAK currently available at 5/2 with Bet 365, based on his his last outing the extra furlong should suit him.

Interesting to hear VOB state today that Camelot isnt a certainty to run in the Guineas and to hold all bets ;-)

Afternoon all, Two placepots for me as per usual, and I really fancy Smarty Socks in the Lincoln.

    Doncaster:
    Leg 1: Snow Bay (9) / Reve De Nuit (11) / Kay Gee Bee (13) / Shamdarley (18)
    Leg 2: Royal Rock (1) / Bannock (13)
    Leg 3: Smarty Socks (3) / Man Of Action (4) / Cocozza (8) / Mull Of Killough (14)
    Leg 4: Deepest Blue (1) / Maypole Joe (6) / Perfect Words (8)
    Leg 5: Theturnofthesun (10)
    Leg 6: Yojimbo (3) / Reachforthebucks (5) / Gritstone (8)
    288 @ 5p
    £14.40

    Navan:
    Leg 1: Galliana (7)
    Leg 2: Law Rebel (9)
    Leg 3: Table Mountain (1)
    Leg 4: Saddlenomore (1)
    Leg 5: Brookville (7)
    Leg 6: Realt Dubh (1)
    1 @ £12
    £12

Smarty Socks (EW) 3.15 Doncaster (NAP)
Shot through the weights last year after multiple excellent runs in big handicaps. Disappointed on last run before the break but he is back in a race which will suit him. The trip is Ideal and the draw should be a positive and he should go very well. 22/1 Various
