Champions Day was a pleasant surprise last year. It was way better than I expected. If you aren't giving these ideas a chance to thrive the sport will stagnate.
Great finish from the excellent Iniesta. Athletic reserves getting a lesson from the Barcelona second team!...not surprising after having played only 47 hours ago in Germany. Stopping Messi isn't enough against these guys...too good. Interesting to note that the Athletic, who hammered the pride of Asia twice in a week, could be 14th after this weekends fixtures!
Strong league La Liga Dex, real strength in depth. Been doing the right thing at grass roots for years
Soft penalty, and Tello made the most of the minimal contact, but probobly correct call from the ref who has now overseen 8 Athletic defeats in 12 games officiating. I need someone to blame!
True oddy. Athletic have no choice due to the cantera policy but the Barcelona academy is second to none. I've had about 6 cans and half a bottle of chianti and still feeling rough.Bengal Brasserie and Errigle last night, then house party..South Belfast's finest!
Good stuff Dex - sounds like you'll be spending the day in bed tomorrow at least there'll be no more pish from Meydan
Just reading through the thread, the rant of Dayo is utter quality. You could feel the holes he punched in his keyboard. Wonderful!Democracy.
Dex -just got back in after a night out with the Mrs and 2 kids and still fuming as to why I backed the fiddler O'Brien etc etc and why he has his fat arse son riding for him haha !! Night night everyone tomorrow is another day !!! By the way the Mrs wants to know why I keep backing So You Suck and not Frankel all the time - doh !!!! ???
Odddy SNA ? that was an awesome first time out performance behind a horse who is grp 1 class who had the fitness advantage. SNA has proven himself imo and I certainly expect him to win several group ones this season.
We'll see .................... I'm not sure CDA is a 12F horse, I think he's better at 10 and SNA may have been flattered to finish so close. Whatever happens, I won't touch a single AOB runner this season - I'm sure my wallet will be better off for it
Odddy he was a multiple group 1 winner last season and didnt even look right. Yesterday he looked magnificent and travelled in to the race like a very good horse. Joseph let the winner have first run and that was crucial. He certainly isnt flattered by how close he got because even if it was 10f yest SNA would have been close , showed plenty of speed and class yesterday and added to his good run of form following his arc 5th and BC win. My idea of the King George winner. BTW I agree about SYT now lol
