Pretty boring stuff as I wait for C4 to start. For anyone wondering how I (or anyone!) could fancy Trumpet Major I have done a write up of sorts on the 2000 Guineas thread. I'm not one for the huge write ups - too lazy - but to bullet points a few things which I think are in his favour

-Sire was a late type and hardly raced at 2. As was the damsire.
-Dick Turpin, a very good miler, was by the same sire and whilst good at 2 he certainly improved at 3.
-Ryan Moore said after the Craven that this horse had filled out massively and was a completely different horse from last year.
-The horse has won CD on good to soft in the Craven. He handles the track, he handles the ground. Perhaps he'll strip fitter for the run too (hopefully)
-He looks a very game horse, the sort that would relish a battle. He won 5L in the Craven and the time was ok for the ground. I think he had more to give had it been required.
-Stall 18 I believe is the preferred side. Certainly Trumpet Major won the Craven coming from the outer most stall.

In a race full of ifs and buts this horse provides the solid 3yo form in the book and is an e/w price at 11/1.

    Few tweets about Frankel

    Dan Mansfield‏@dan_mansfield85

Unbelievable course gallop from #Frankel at #Newmarket ! Went from heavy restraint to 4 lengths clear of his lead pair in three strides

    Alex Hammond‏@skysportsAlexH

Wow Frankel looked good. Keen but stretched out well. Looked to have little boots/wraps on hind feet I think but couldn't see closely

    Clare Balding‏@clarebalding1

Frankel looked v good in racecourse gallop at Newmarket. So fluent & enthusiastic. Has strengthened up over the winter & looks great.

Norwich 2-1 up at the Emirates after 30mins. Could be a huge result for Newcastle. Still an hour to play though.

    2.00 Newmarket FURY 5/1 & GRAPHIC 16/1 E.W

Liking the look of Fury for the opener at Newmarket. He has shaped well in two starts this season following a gelding operation and for me he was unlucky to bump in to a seriously well handicapped horse last time out (Captain Bertie). A repeat of his performance last time out will see him go very close here on ground he will handle. Have also had a small dabble on Graphic. He has some smart form to his name and should have come on for his run at Sandown on heavy ground. He gets the 3yo allowance and I am hoping he can run in to a place

Hannon's juveniles haven't been great so far, I wonder how much it is down to the lack of Dickie Hughes in the saddle.

Fury looks a place bet in the 2.00, could be a frustrating horse to back in the win market (cue him winning today)

afternoon all.nursing a terrible birthday hangover so suckling on a cold one with the form card. The nice folk at Paddy Power are refunding all win bets if camelot wins the guineas so i've backed the other balydoyle horse power. Also backed two at limerick lilywhitedancer and drive on regardless both ridden by rupert walsh.PP also kindly refunding bets if that rascist bastard suarez scores at anytime in the cup final so backed the drog to score first at 13/2.My word isnt emma spencer a lovely dish,i most certainly would:emoticon-0109-kiss:

Can't believe the chances being created at the Emirates. This is one of the games of the season. No exaggeration.
